is there any type of "at home" test you can take to see if you, or your partner has an std? i can't go to my dr because my mom doesn't know i'm sexually active..

I don't believe there is other than an at home HIV test. If you can't go to your mom then maybe you aren't mature enough to be having sex in the first place. That's just a personal opinion and should only be taken as that.

the reason why i can't go to my mother is because she's sexist, and i'm with a girl.. but, forget it. i'm gonna ask the gyno about it in a month or so, when i go.

No there is not....
First I want to say maybe the reason why that poster said what he/she said is because you are making it sound as if you are underage??? if so you do need to tell her...you cant go to the doctor anyways without her....
NOW if you are above age....well I can understand why one would not want to tell their mom...it is a hard touchy subject to talk about especially if a mom has expectations of their child....that is hard boarder to over come...

I'm sorry for offending you. I guess I assumed something differently from your first post. That's why they say don't assume right? If you will forgive me I will offer some advice that may or may not be helpful. First off, I'm not sure if you are asking because you think you may have something or because ya'll are being cautious. Well, depending on your age most free clinics will see you if you are at least 16 or older. You will need some type of ID. This way your mother will not know anything!

Assuming is not good however....the orginal post did make it sound as if she could be underage...

yeah, i am underage. i'm 15 1/2. i'm going to the gyno in august (my mom made me an apointment because i asked about it and stuff). so i'm going to ask her if she sees any stds (or w/e. haha, it's my first time going! give me a break.).
also, i can't tell my mom because she's sexist. i'm going out with another girl.. so yeah.

Oh...you are in the blues.... :( sorry to hear that....sorry to have my name so close to your significant other....
Dont worry you will be 18 before you know it and you wont have to worry about anything...it will then be YOUR life, but as for now both of you have to keep peace within the family...
It is hard...BUT let me tell you it gets harder....you will find that waiting is much easier to deal with than other things...this world isnt as easy as one may think....
Besides waiting stregthens the heart...
