and the day after upon waking complained of a painfull bump in the back of her mouth, causing her throat to hurt. This bump is not a blister and I have no signs of genital warts or any-other std. In fact I have only been with one other person in my life and nothing more than fingering occured (no open cuts were ever on my fingers and hands were washed quickly following each time - STD's scare me and have since I first leanred as a child what they were)

My original thought was std but the bump is placed in the area of her mouth that extends when opened too much. My girlfriend has a unsually small mouth and my hypothesis is that the streching of her mouth is the result of this bump, has anyone had similar experiences?

Also, due to the quick nature of the bump developing (less than 14 hours) if it is an std, would gonorrhea be a safe bet?

I plan on being tested regardless of answers here, however a general idea what what if anything to expect is greatly appreciated.

It doesn't sound like an STD. It could just be irritation. How large is the bump? I'm not exactly sure what part of the mouth you are trying to expain, but it could also be a swollen gland from being pressed against. Still get tested like you plan, but if those are your only encounters unless she cheated or had something prior to the relationship I'm sure everything will be fine.

if it's in the corner of her mouth it's probably a result of keeping her mouth open for a long period of time and the skin was dry so it cracked. it's not an std, just use lip medex (little blue container)and apply often to the corners, it'll sooth it and heal it.
and next time have her apply a good lip moiturizer before she begins.

oh yeah, and it it's not in the corner of her mouth it could just be an irritation, she should swish or gargle w/ listerine and peroxide for a few days and it should clear up
