I'm a 27 year old male and I have what appears to be pimples on my scrotums. I've had these for as long as I can remember. I've always been way to embarressed to even talk about them. I did meantion it to my friend years ago and he told me thats normal. So i took his word for it. But now i'm 27 years old this doesn't seem normal at all. These pimples can be popped with a needle like a regular pimple but its really painful. They don't seem to be on the surface. They are deeper so its really hurts to pop them. They are hard too. But once popped they go away just like normal pimples but i get them all the time. Its so painful to pop them i don't worry about them cause they cause me on physical pain . They are just really annoying and embarrsing.
Today, i was having lunch with a friend , some how he got some information on a guy and girl at our work place that has STD's. He said the girl had warts. I've always heard of warts but never really gave them much thought. So i asked him what they looked like. He told me they look like leprosy (spelling) ... like a puss like infection.... I almost immediately panic . I'm not sure if he could tell my fear but I'm really scared.
I've had these for as long as i can remember. I'm about positive i've had them before my first sexual experience. I haven't always had safe sex. I know this is stupid now i'm really freaking out about it. I know doctors are trained professionals for dealing with stuff like this but its still so embarrsing. So i've never done anything about it. They cause no physical pain and none of my ex girlfriends ever noticed . Now i'm extremely worried .
Can someone PLEASE! clarify whether these are warts .... And if there not warts why am i getting these "pimples" at age 27 i'm odviosoulsy way past puberty.

I looked at some pictures of genital warts and they look nothing like what i have. These only come up on my scrotum.

It might be an std called molluscom, molloscum, mulloscum, Oh hell, I don't know how to spell it. It is dormant and can be in your system for up to two years before popping up. They look like small pimples. They can be anywhere bodily fluids touch. I'll try to fiqure out how to spell it. I know a dermatologist is more likely to diagnose it for some reason.

Hey Guy...there are some threads here about molloscum. My ex boyfriend had it. It is an std but it is not as bad as some others out there. The fact that it is an std is bad enough. See a dermatologist. I was very lucky. This happened 5 years ago and I never got it. I know that just because you use condoms...it doesn't mean you can't get an std. You can look up molloscum on the internet also and research it.

Thanks for your response. I've read up on it some. Seems similar but mine do not have an indentation in the center. They also said they should go away naturally in 6-18 months if left untreated. I've had these for well of 10 years easy. I'm really uneasy at this point. You can also get molloscum without sexual contact. I don't know what to think . Going read up on it some more.

Maybe it's nothing at all and just some kind of skin condition. See a dermatologist. Maybe you can get some closure on your problem.-Roni

my boyfriend has those. i dont think it's anything abnormal at all. in fact the guys ive been intimate with have all had those. i think they're just like any other zit. they form at a hair follicle. carry wet wipes and clean your scrotum about once an hour especially if you sweat and use powder on them to have less moisture in that area. you said that you usually pop them w/ a needle. i gently roll them between my thumb nails to pop them and it barely causes any pain from my boyfriend. and dont mess with it if it doesn't pop after a few rolls. try again in a week or two.

Thanks again for your responses. I'm going go have it checked out. I'm too uneasy about this. Just knowing the fact that i could give this condition to someone else is bad enough. I would never intensionally do something like that. All these years I guess i played dumb and took someone's advice that it was "normal" on an embarasing condition. I never really thought of them more then pimples. I still get pimples on my face. So, never really thought about it and defanatley never thought it could be a STD. Really appreciate the responses, Thank again.

They sound like sebacous cysts, they are very commonly found on the penis shaft and scrotum. over 40% of males have these small cysts they usually form during puberty or later in the teen years they could also be clogged hair follicles,if you have one or two of them I would begin to worry but if you have many of them they are most likely what Im talking about and not warts also warts are pretty big.The cysts and clogged hair follicles are harmless and very normal but for your own peace of mind I suggest that you talk to your doctor it will help you alot.
