I was nervous. My doctor was very nice which helped me to feel comfortable. Even when he examined me I didn't feel weird.
First I urinated in a cup. When I got back the doctor said they wouldn't do an HIV test there because my situation was low risk and it wouldn't be considered cost effective. Things like being straight, only having 2 sexual partners ever, never taken drugs, and not many symptoms appearing is what seemed to classify as that.

Cost effective?
LoL, my doctors never said anything of the sort to me. Actually, since my last visit of him hinting at another AIDS test I've been suspecting that maybe I need to change my life choices.
If you have only had two partners, good on ya! I wish I could count how many I've had. I really have no idea. Anyways, don't be scared about getting tested, it's better to know than not.

I thought that sounded weird too. He did mention that there are other places that do the testings.
He said the reason about the cost effective part was because the tests were expensive and since the city paid for it that they only treated people with high risk symptons.

are you worried about HIV? if so, get a test! it will ease your mind, it did mine.
You arent at a high risk though, i dont think. Either way, whatever you think you should do will be fine. I know you arent supposed to do it for just this reason, but if you give blood they test it. What state are you in? They also do free HIV tests here in Mississippi.

The doctor told me there are some places that have free HIV testing so I could go there if I wanted.
