Hi all!
I was wondering if anyone would have some advice for me.
I have nails that peel very badly. They are not very strong...even my toenails are not very hard. It really bothers me because I do not have very nice nails and I try to take care of them.
I have hypotyroidism and my doctor told me that this is a symptom, but I think I remember always having this problem.
I make sure to moisturize my skin and nails, I file them instead of clipping them, I keep them short, I've even tried the nail oil.
Help!

Keep using the nail oil - it takes time to 'cure' dry nails especially if the condition is made worse by a medical problem such as a thyroid condition. You will need to apply the oil several times a day, but especially after having your hands in water, after using household cleaning solutions and ALWAYS before bedtime. The best oils contain jojoba and vitamin E oils, so read the ingredients on the label.
