I have had some wierd things happening with my hair for quite some time now. First of all, I've always had wavy hair, but now it's comletely curly - like I've gotten a perm. But, over the past couple of months I've been losing tons of hair. It's so bad that I'm afraid to wash it more than once per week or so and I don't dare brush it unless I have to. Then a couple of weeks ago I noticed some short hair coming out of the front above my forehead. Either I grew some hair, or a little fairy came and gave me a few bangs. I don't get my hair cut more than once per year or so, nor do I need to see a Dr. for more than my annual gyno visit and the occasional sickness, but I do not know where to turn. The only thing I can think of is I've had some hormonal changes in the past couple of years. I had a tubal ligation, went on the pill about one year later and then went off it about three months ago due to weight gain.

HELP!!!!

Hi,
I would go to the doctor. It could be so many things. Hormone changes, stress. I am diabetic and am being tested for PCOS and endometriosis. I lose a drainful in the shower every morning, and more when brushing.

Hey the same thing is happening with my hair, lots of it falling of for some months now, new curly ones growing out, I dont have curly hair, its just not sleek straight, anyways I did start worrying about it about 2 weeks ago. I started taking a multivitamin supplement and I bought this shampoo that is supposed to stimulate the scalp, it is called "Peppar" and is supposed to be made from green and red peppers. I bought it at a beauty supply place. I still haven't seen results yet, but I'm hoping something will work! Good Luck!
