I have had these 2 things on my right ear call keloids and have been to the doctor already. I got them where I had my my 2 piercings but they were in the lobe. I had an injury when I was a kid and that is what I got the keloids from. One of them is going away and the other is getting smaller. I really want to get my ear pierced again. Has anyone ever had this annoying problem??

go to www.bmezine.com (http://www.bmezine.com)
It's a body modification website that has tons of info on keloids.

I had a keloid on my earlobe, too! I got my ears pierced at 10 and the right one kept getting infected so I let them close up, and I developed a keloid on the right lobe. At about 14 I had it removed and they repierced my ears, and again, the right one kept getting infected so I let them close up, and got ANOTHER keloid on my right earlobe. So the doctor took the keloid off again and told me never to pierce my ears again because if they had to remove a third keloid, my earlobe would be deformed. So needless to say, I never got ANYTHING pierced because I was afraid of keloids.

piercings may seem like a good idea now..but i can tell you from experience i regret mine..i had one done when i was a teenager and the other 2 done in my thirties...i am now in my 50's and for the last 10 yrs or so i have preferred to wear no earrings at all..and wish that i had never gotten them pierced at all ..yes they close up..but the holes are still visible..my best advice is for you to not do anything to further disfigure your earlobes.....

Oh no! That's terrible! Does this mean that I can never, ever get my ear repierced again?! I miss wearing nice earrings and I'm very upset that I have these stupid ugly things on my ear.

I can't remember exactly what the website I gave you said to do if you got keloids but something like massaging olive oil onto them to some degree. Not just rubbing the oil on but you need to massage it to work it into the scar. Did you check out the website?

I did check the website out and it was helpful. Can you use any brand of olive oil for massaging into the keloids??
