Hi Everyone!
Just wondering if anyone has any information on how to get rid of GIGANTIC PORES!!!!.......Well, they arent really all that bad I suppose. But nothing works. I have very oily skin, wash my face twice a day with beauti control's "clear skin" formula. I use tonic following..but absolutely no MOISTURIZER....even the kind that beauti control reccomends I wont use because it breaks me out. I've used avon's pore reducer, just about every anti-shine treatment their is, egg whites, clay masks, etc. But nothing has yet to work. I do wear foundation and powder (beauti control-which I've found to be the best so far as far as coverage), but have had absolutely no luck in the pore reducing area. ANY suggestions would be greatly appreciated......

Thanks,
Mal

May want to check with a dermatologist. Large pores with over production of sebum (oil) can be controlled with retinoids such as Retin A or Differin. You may also be given an AHA based cleanser

accutane made my large pores invisible for 5 years, but you need to keep the results w/ a exfoliator and a collagen rebuilder- alternating days, like bha or glycolic acid 15% or higher the next day with retin-a micro or similar/ copper peptides.

Also, cycle the accutane like 1 1/2 month on 2 weeks off to minimize possible toxicity- that can cause depression and other symptoms- research more on this.

Based on experience w/ my own skin, pore size is not necessarily inherited and also can be minimized.

Also, see Beths past posts in acne board

Hope this helps

My pores are so big you could park an airplane in them. I've had a lot of success with Clinique Nighttime Acne Treatment Gel. It has salicylic acid, but somehow never dries my skin out. It keeps my pores from getting clogged (for the most part) and makes my skin a bit tighter so that the pores aren't as noticible.

My sympathies!
