My son (7) wears an ortho chin cup at night to help correct his underbite. His chin is red, dry and slightly raised. I tried antifungal cream for a week and it sort of helped but I don't think it is a fungal/yeast problem. It is not itchy. Neosporin helped some. Now I just put vaseline on it before I put the chin cup on. The chin cup is covered with t-shirt material that I change frequently so it stays clean. Any ideas? Michelle
--i'm going to ask the ortho for a chin cup with the hole in it hoping it will allow some "air" to get in. I still have to cover it with t-shirt material so it is not hard. The cup itself is very hard plastic

Hello,
i have something almost like that under my chin it gets red and it itches and peels my doctors said it was a type of fungus and if it goes untreated for awhile it causes skin discoloration
