My left index finger. It doesn't hurt, thre's no trace of blood, and i never really cut or tore it on anything. I think i clipped it too short. When it grows now, the skin underneath the white part looks detached or something. It feels very uncomfortable, but that may be because i worry about it and rub it too often. I can sort of "push" the skin under the white part so it kinda stays under the nail rather than sticking out like it does. Sometimes the skin is all white and dry, this has been happening for about 10 days. The white part is uneven across the nail, even though it is cut evenly. The bottom line is that it feels like the skin under the nail is come off of the nail itself. Almost like the nail is detaching, but only at the front. What do you guys think?

The nail plate is probably detaching from the nail bed due to the trauma of cutting the nail plate too short, and your constant "rubbing" of the injured portion of skin. A detached nail plate can lead to nail infection due bacterial or fungal spores entering the site. Keep it clean and dry at all times, but keep it OUT of water as much as you can. Don't 'play' with the detached skin, or try to push it back under the nail plate. The detached skin will dry up and flake off and the nail plate will grow forward as it should as the injury is healing.
