Hey there, my arms are pretty bumpy. Some of the bumps (sorry if this sounds icky) have a little puss or whatever when squeezed, but many of them do not. My thighs are pretty bumpy and the bumps can be red sometimes but they aren't pimples. Some people say it's just "chicken skin." So, what can I do about this? My mom says if I get a tan (I'm pretty damn pale) that'll help, but what do you all think? Anyone have any experiences and/or suggestions? Thank you ever so much!

Ingrown hairs.
I get them on my thighs.
I notice them more if I've gained weight.
Try a loofa sponge when your in the shower, but don't scrub to hard or you'll get raw. And if you have them on your thights, if you can, try to avoid shaving there, it only makes it worse.
I also heard to try an antibacterial soap.
Good luck

I have had this for awhile now....or at least I think its keratosis pilaris....anyway, I recently started to wash with glycolic cleanser and it has helped tremendously. I've only used it for two weeks and the change is unbelievable. I use MD FORTE glycolic cleanser II that I get from the derms office. About $25 per bottle.....last along time as I don't use much at one time.

I did a search on the internet and apparently I do have keratosis pilaris. That sucks, but at least now I know what this is and I can do something about it. I'll check out those creams you suggested. Thanks a lot. :)
