I am a 22 year old woman and I have been shaving since I was about 12. I'm thinking I have sensitive skin or I just don't know how to shave, because I have never been able to shave my legs more often then within a weeks time without getting razor burn...and I get it awful. I don't really enjoy going with hairy legs at all, but I don't enjoy suffering through to pain of razor burn either. I moisturize my legs after every shower as well, so I really don't know why I can't keep my legs clean of hair. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know...for my husbands sake ;)

I don't know what helps for razor burn, but I wish I did. I'm usually okay on my lower legs, but my thighs/bikini area get terrible razor burn that lasts for days, like what you described. I would simply recommend something other than shaving, like getting your legs waxed. You'll have to let the hair grow out for about 3 weeks, but the hair removed will be gone for a few weeks and you won't have razor burn. If you want to try the home waxing route, I've had the best experience with Sally Hansen's Sugar Wax kit; however, that may not be the best thing out there. Good luck. :)

Find a product called Shaver's Choice Foaming Shave Gel - they also have an after shave skin therapy that softens and moisturizes my skin. My boyfriend was using it to clear up his ingrown hairs on his neck - I took it to the shower.
I have never had as close and comfortable a shave without irritation as with this gel. It lasts forever - just a small amount with water - let it set for about 30 seconds and shave as usual. I can't say enough good about it.

Have you ever tried shaving with an exfoliator? I know that may sound strange, but I use Mary Kay's Satin Body Buffing Cream to shave sometimes, and it helps prevent razor burn very well. Hopefully this helps!
