I have been abusing Ultram for the last 3 years and am willing to try to come off it, but dont want to risk the withdrawl syndrome, which i have gone through with codeine and vicodin, etc. and would love to get off of the Ultram.
Does anyone have any ideas how i can do it without having the withdrawl stuff, cant sleep when i am coming off, etc.

I just wiened myself off of ultram within the last week. I had a lot of muscle aches and sweating, but the worst is over. It has been 5 days without any and I am getting back to normal. You can do it, if you're currently taking alot you might want to wien off. Make sure you have motrin and tylenol on hand. I also reccommend some benadryl or the prescription vistaril or periactin, if your doctor will give it to you. Antihistimines can help take away the anxiety a bit.
I am not a doctor but have a little experience with addiction. If you have a doctor maybe he could also prescribe an antidepressant like zoloft. What I did was took zoloft for a few weeks and when it started to kick in I started the wiening. I didn't suffer any depression or cravings, my withdrawel was only physical thanks to the Zoloft. Again I am not a doctor I am just giving you a few venues to discuss with your doctor. The best of luck to you, let me know how it goes.
Maybe when this is all over we can sue the company for lack of warning and research.
