I normally have great skin, But a few days ago I woke up most of my face is dry and rough in texture, and puffy. Now the puffness has gone down and it is ichy. I have done nothing different (like change cleansers) to cause this. This doesn't seem like the rash I got last year from using cheap laundry detergent. Any advice

It may be eczema. Is it white, flaky and even a bit raised? It can be treated with steroid creams if that's the case. Sometimes the sun can do strange things to your skin. I had a relative get "sun poisining", that's really what it's called. You should probably see a doctor or dermatologist. Don't put any product on it for awhile.

Yes it is white and flaky and raised. I am trying to let it go away on its own since I can't afford to see a doctor. It has gotten alot better almost back to normal. Thanks for replying

Just want you to know that I have severe eczema and that's what it sounds like you have a case of too. I believe that you might have eaten something the night before that that you might've been a little allergic to and it triggered the eczema. I just resently discovered that this spice that I've been using in my cooking contains MSG (monosodium glutimate) and so I stopped using it to see if my eczema would get any better. Sure enough... I stopped using it and after a year of horrible eczema that wouldn't go away, it has finally cleared up. I am so happy. So try and remember what you had to eat the night before and see what you think.
