My hair takes forever to grow and I always have a lot of split ends. I love having long hair and I want it to grow more. I just don't want it to look dead. I don't wash my hair everyday and I use Biologe shampoo and conditioner. Is there anything I can take to make my hair grow quicker and not get as many split ends????

Keep up on your trims. Go as often as possible, just don't get lots trimmed off. I am growing my hair back out and my hair grows slow. My stylist trims only the smallest amount, usually about a half of a centimeter. You get rid of the ends, but not the length. Too many stylists want to whack your hair during a trim, it isn't necessary. I also use Biolage, my hair has been a lot healthier. I have very course, thick, dry hair and it's curly. I have to heat style my hair so I will always have split ends. Take vitamins, if you are healthier, your hair and nails will be as well. Get rid of any metal brushes or combs, unless you are trying to straighten your hair. At night, get a good hair treatment or heavy conditioner, put it in your hair, wrap your hair in a bun and leave over night. Comb your hair slowly when it is wet, don't try and rip out tangles. If you do place you hair in a ponytail, get holders that don't have metal bands on them. Last, be patient. I used to have hair to my waist, I decided to cut it and have been trying to grow it back out for almost 3 years now. Good luck.

I found a product that is making my hair grow like crazy. It's called Follicle Therapy Spray, by Tricomin. It has something called 'copper peptide complex' in it, which supposidly stimulates hair follicles. I started using it to help with thinning hair, and was really surprised at how fast my hair started growing (it's also slowly getting thicker). You just spray it on your scalp (after shampooing & conditioning), gently massage it in, then comb it through to the ends of your hair for extra conditioning. It says to use it everyday, but I only shampoo my hair every other day, so that's how often I use it. I also use their shampoo and conditioner, which also contain the copper peptide complex. They make my hair really soft, shiny, and healthy looking. It's expensive stuff, but well worth it. You can get it on the net (do a search under Tricomin, look at several companies as some sell it for less than others).
