yes, i realize this is pretty stupid but it's bothering me a lot! i swear i'm the only one on this freaking planet who is growing hair on his nose!! is there anything i can do to stop this? it's not really that noticable but if you're close enuf it's there. it just isn't natural. help anyone? http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/frown.gif i don't know what really caused the hair to start growing somewhere where it shouldn't be but...i want it gone! any help would be appreciated. thanks http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

i worked with a guy years ago that had the same problem..and i agree its bad..go to a dr that does laser hair removal and get it taken care of once and for all...it will be $$$ but worth the money

What kind of hair are we talking? I have some "peach fuzz" on my nose and I am a female. I have never really paid attention to anyone else's nose so I'm not sure if it's normal either but I'd like to know cuz I have a hormone imbalance.

what kind of hair? just HAIR i guess. like i said it's not really noticable unless you're close up. but if I can see it in the mirror then so can everyone else. i'm pretty sure it has something to do with the overly large pores on my nose and the fact that I use to get huge zits...it's been through a lot http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/frown.gif problem is that if i can pluck them, they shouldn't be there..and sometimes they grow back really dark and it looks like a blackhead.

Exactly where ON your nose is the hair? I have never seen anyone with hair ON their nose, just IN it.

did you every use vaseline on your nose, i hear that encourages hair growth.

wouldnt plucing them make the hairs go back thicker, which would be worse. if its not very noticible until your close to the mirror i'd just leave it. bleach it perhaps.

I have hair on my nose, too and I try to pluck it but it's so small and frustrating when I do! I am talking about the sides of the nostrils is where the hair usually grows. I also have redness on the sides of my nose due to acne I guess. Anyone know how to deal with the hair and the redness? Thanks.

is there a solution to this apart from plucking?
what would a doctor recommend

Well, we have hair on our entire bodies so it's normal

I have little tiny white hairs on my nose but I highly doubt anyone can see them.

http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/idea.gif Why don't you think about trying laser therapy.Lasers can take the hair away easily and painlessly. I did my entire legs, and then some.If that doesn't appeal to you,if it's only a few hairs try tweezing,if that idea freaks you try waxing. The Body Shop sells a small pot of wax for $5,heat it up on the stove, let it cool and then dip your finger in the wax and put wax on nose hairs ,in one clean swipe . Let the wax cool for a second(20).and pull quickly off.Tip; use a little cream on the finger you dip into the wax,the excess wax will slip easily off your finger after it dries. And don't worry about getting it off ,jojoba oil.vitamin e oil, does, the trick.Wash face with cold water after.Good luck.

pluckin those small tiny hairs is a pain in the ass though. it's bigh enough to be noticable but tough to pluck! see i realize we have hair all over our bodies but in some places they're very light and tiny and not noticable. this is the case with our nose as well but for me they started to grow longer and blacker, which makes no sense to me what so ever.

laser surgery on your nose? that's kind of odd ain't it. and i don't think there's any place around here that does that sort of thing.

i'm glad i'm not the only one with this problem though http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/frown.gif

Hey hah,if you think lasers are weird on the nose, well I'm SURE that much stranger places have had a laser. Think about it ,what's weirder;spending time plucking nose or any other hairs, waxing nose hairs,or just getting it zapped once and for all.

Hi! Just thought I'd add my two cents in, too. If you're already plucking, why don't you just perma-tweeze? I'm sure that's still an option. Go to a full-beauty salon and ask them to recommend someone.

Hey Bgirl! It is electrolysis, but I guess I just blanked. Happens to me more and more. Anyway, does anyone still do that?

HAHAHAHA I thought I was crazy when I noticed hair growing on my nose, wow this is amazing.... I just shave it off when I shave everyday. Have to be careful though. hmm waxing sounds good.

i think laser surgery would be the most convenient although i have never heard of someone having laser done on their nose, and it is really embarrasing going to the doc and saying ive got hair on my nose i want laser surgery.
shaving will just make them grow back thicker so i think electrolysis is the best option although it is very hard, remember thee are hairs on the nose, not inside.

i just posted a message about this at the acne board. i have the same problem
my cousin has it too.
itīs soooo unattractive.

the hairs are black, very short, almost unpluckable
and they grow back very fast.

They look like blackheads.

a lot of men have these but itīs really bad when you are a women. Women are not supposed to have hair looking like black dots on their nose !

i have them between my eyes too and in some pores on my cheeks.

you are def. not alone, there is always yes ALWAYS someone who has the same problem.

the only solution would be to cover it up with foundation or a powder or something.

Iīm to scarred to do the laserthing, waxing would be best but those hairs are up there again in no time.

good luck.

i don't know how you can say a lot of men have hair on their nose when i've never seen one in real life except for my own. this is all probably due to the fact that i have huge pores on my nose and have dark black hair. oh well http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/frown.gif

oh btw, that home electrosis stuff works pretty well. i've pretty much zapped all of them on my nose and only a few to go. the problem is since the hair roots are so close to the top of the skin it leaves red spots for weeks.

I donīt know...

but you only have them on your nose
i have them between my eyes, on my chin and on my cheeks too.

Hey Hah! I suggest jojoba oil and vitamin E on the red spots,it will help with the inflammation and nourish the skin.Good luck http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/wave.gif
