Lady^ 11-21-2002, 04:34 PM bump tinkers 11-21-2002, 11:30 PM Lady, I tried it. It smells aweful and makes your hair stink, but it helps stop hair loss. I used it for awhile and couldn't handle it anymore. But my hair loss is from diabetes. So as long as my sugar is in control, my hair loss isn't nearly as much. But thats just my opinion. My hairdresser uses it for hear hair (she has a thyroid problem). But she lovesthe Nioxin. Maybe you will too! Tink Drowning 11-22-2002, 10:58 AM I think it works well for hair loss. I actually use it because it helps my hair grow faster... Lady^ 11-22-2002, 02:20 PM Tinkers...why couldn't you handle it anymore? Do mean because of the smell? tinkers 11-22-2002, 08:54 PM The smell and the tingling. Oh.....I forgot to mention that if you get it on your skin, you get hives for a short while. Tink Yasmine 07-31-2003, 09:27 PM Did someone say that it helps your hair to grow faster? Because I dont have thining hair, just VERYYYY dry and splits ends in my naturally curly hair. I cant seem to get it to grow, every times it does, its all split. I dont know wat to do, im ready for a wig. if this product isnt for me, what is? can someone please help? stephbabie 08-01-2003, 05:38 PM Lady, I would give it a try. I think it smells great! It's like mint flavor. I love the way the conditioner(scalp therapy) tingles on your scalp. It's quite nice. I've used it a few different times over the last 5 years. They do have specific products to use as treatment for hair loss. The shampoo and scalp therapy, are to help with excessive hair loss and prepare the scalp for a healthy area to have the hair grow and the scalp to breath. It's highly recommended and of course, very pricey. You only use like a quarter size drop of each, so lasts forever. cindeerella29 08-04-2003, 03:35 AM I love the stuff. The smell is great, tinginling only lasts for a bit, its nice though http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/biggrin.gif And also It has never given me hives, I love the stuff but it is a bit pricy for me. I have thin hair and it plumps my hair big time http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dance.gif efriend 08-04-2003, 02:46 PM Another option is to use " Freeman product a conditioner called- IN THE THICK OF IT " I have very thin hair, bad enough to wear a wig. I have tried a lot of products. This one really makes you look like like you have more hair. Angel802 08-06-2003, 07:35 PM I used Nioxin because my hair was thinning until a 32 oz bottle of the Cleanser and Scalp Treatment was gone and it did nothing for me except dry my hair out, then i noticed after i stopped using it, i lost even more hair. I have nothing good to say about it but the woman at the salon said some people like it , it was'nt until after i used it that i read about these things happening to others. But..like the woman said..some people like it. ------------------ Angel |
