If i shave my underarms i do that while in the shower and i lather up that area with soap and just use a disposable razor and i've never had a problem. Mostly i wax my own underwarms and so don't have any worries for weeks http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

I'm feeling a bit upset because some people are being really nasty to me on another forum just because we have discussed some things including underarm hair and I said I would not shave mine. Now they are telling me that is poor personal hygiene and *****ing so much at me for it. I don't understand this because I am a clean person and don't see why the hair has to be removed, so I stand by my decision. On the odd occasion when I was younger I heard lots of women shaved under their arms and I tried it and got all red and sore and itchy so I decided not to do it again, why tamper with nature if it makes your skin painful? Just gain the courage to allow the hair to grow, there is nothing wrong with natural body hair anyway!
In the end we have to do what we are comfortable with and I am fine with not shaving so don't feel you have to do it, there is no law requiring it, not where I live anyway!

I shave in the shower. After I wash with soap under my arms, I go ahead and shave in downward strokes before rinsing with one of those Venus disposable razors. Those work great! I haven't cut myself once with it and I've been using them for at least 6 months now. :-)

Girl, you do what you want to do. If someone doesn't like it too bad. I admire you,not conforming. I admit when I shave there my skin itches soo bad. My husband went to France and alot of women don't shave under their arms, and they're some of the most beautiful women in the world.

If you elect to not shave, that's your decision, but i personally find that i tend to sweat more if i haven't shaved/waxed my underwarms and then i get itchy and uncomfortable. If i remove the hair totally, then i'm fine.

nature made you exactly the way you should be and people are supposed to have hair.

In your post here you are telling us not to shave and to have the courage to let it grow. Maybe that is why the people in the other room were upset with you. Just like you made the choice not to shave they make the choice to shave and maybe they didn't like you telling them that they shouldn't shave because that is there choice if that is what you did in the other room also.
