I just bought some Cod Liver Oil because I heard it's good for skin, hair, and the immune system. Has anyone here tried it, and how did it work for you? Thanks in advance for any info! :)

only thing with cod liver oil is make sure it dosen't have iodine which is proven to exacerbate acne. Fish oil may have less because it's the liver part of cod liver oil that contains iodine.

Thanks for the response Chauvina. :) I just checked the label and there's no mention of iodine anywhere.

I take two tablespoons daily of flax seed oil for my skin and hair, among other health-related reasons. I have chosen this type of oil because it is plant based (vs. cod, fish, etc.) I find a positive difference in my skin and hair, joint aches & pains and more.
Good luck,

Bear cub,
Thanks for the info on flax seed oil. So far I'm pretty happy with the cod liver oil but after I run out of the bottle I have now, I might try flax seed. Thanks again! :)
