I have some scars on my legs that I want to get rid of, some are flat and others are hypertrophic. I'm considering using Mederma since I've heard some good things about it, but has anyone actually used it or know someone that has used it? My questions are, how long does it take to heal the scars? Will they heal hypertrophic scars? And how many scars can you use it on before the cream runs out? Thanks.

I used it once for a nasty scar I got shaving :) Anyway, it took forever and it only lightens it, it doesn't dissapear. And if you have a big scar it probably wouldn't help since it didn't do much on my little shaving scar.

Mederma takes time, and money. Apply three times a day, for... well however long you have. Weeks, months... And it will eventually make the scar less noticable. I have been using it on one big deep scar, that was the size of a nickle. Now you can hardly see it. After 5 months that is....
Yes, it will work, but you need to be dedicated.

Does anyone know if it will work on flat, white scars (such as those you get from small pimples or surface scrapes)?
