For almost a year i've had this red, flakey skin around my nose. it never really goes away or changes. ive been diagnosed with seb derm, but the medications do nothing. it only flakes after a shower, it's usually pretty oily there, and sometimes it breaks out. any help would be much appreciated. also, ive been on antibiotics for awhile because one doc said it was perioral derm, and that does nothing.

Seborrheic dermatitis isn't a curable condition. You can control it though. Once you find a medicine that works, it can be controlled quite successfully in most cases. I treat mine by using hydrocortisone cream that you can buy anywhere. I use it everyday until it goes away then about once or twice a week. I've had it for years.
