I posted this in the main forum and am posting this here also. One week ago, I had a blood test done and I had a skin reaction afterwards.
About 4-5 hours after the blood test, I took off my band aide and had redness on my skin near the area that the needle was inserted. The next day the redness on my skin was significantly smaller but was still there. My doctor told me that the red mark was simply my skin being irritated from the band aide.
Since my visit to the doctor, the redness has slowly faded and there is only a faint mark left. I still feel some slight irritation and occasional mild pain around the area that the test was done.
My main concerns are that I don't usually have a red mark after wearing a band aide (but I do have sensitive skin). I do not have a fever. Should I be concerned even though the redness has faded?
Thank you.
