Hi guys, I am 22 yo guy with a serious problem. I go often to tanning devices, therefore my whole body is preety dark tanned, EXCEPT for my face. Because I have acne and have to exfoliate/wash my skin on a regular basis as well as use topicals, my facial skin will burn easyly and tan slowly and fade faster than the rest of my body, and to make matters worse, my derm makes me use a moisturizer that leaves a thin, mild white layer over my skin, sometimes leaving me a lil powdery. RESULT: Dark tanned body, pale white skin. Looks RIDICULOUS FOR A GUY! I am kissing goodbye to the moisturizer, but I need some advice in tanning my face. Plzzzzzz I beg u, any recommendation or advice is appreacited.
1. Should i use self tanners? Will they break me out? Which ones u recommend?
2. Any recomendations on moisturizers. I thought about using those who are dark tinted, but I don't want it to look like make up. Will they?

I can actually sympathize with you in a way. I understand, for women, its more acceptable to be fair skinned, but for men, probably not as much.
Though I dont think you should have to be REALLY tanned. Just a light colour would be alright...
anyway
There is supposed to be some sort of tablet you can take that kinda make the melanon (i think thats what they call it, not sure, but its what naturally tanned people have alot of), which gives people colour. It supplies more of it in the skin, and your naturally become darker.
You would have to ask your doctor about it though.
It was awhile ago that I read about it...
well anyway.
Good luck!

Hey I have the same problem, only I'm a girl. =) I have an awesome tan, but my face is white! Very white.I exfoliate alot because of breakouts too, and honestly I don't know what to tell you. The only thing different with us is I can pick out a foundation to match my tan slightly while you being a guy may not want to do that. Not saying that guys don't do that, but some find it odd. maybe tanning your face mor than your body would be an option. Like the target facial tanning they have. Just a thought. Good luck

I'd just learn to deal with it. I'd rather have a man with fair skin than one that's all pruned up.

Mystic tan is all the rage, self tanner done by the tanning salons. You will have to do it to your whole body, but it looks natural and you will be the same color all over. It's expensive, but it beats spending all that money to damage your skin in the real tanning beds. Good luck!
