I have a couple of old scars on my arm from approx. 25 years ago due to staff infection/boils. I never had a problem with them until about 6 months ago or so. They have no started to peel or get scaley and they will bleed sometimes. Why would this be happening after all these years?

I don't mean to frighten you, but you should probably go to a doctor. Changes in old scars and moles should always be noted, (whether it's colour, pain, anything...) because it can be a warning sign for skin cancer.
