I'm a 18 year old female and I been suffering with Acid Reflux for about 7 months now. I was infected with the H pylori infection back in September and since then I been to several doctors including an Gastroenterologist. I've taken every kind of medication from Acid Reflux, Nexium to AcipHex etc. and also all the antibiotics for the infection such as Amoxicillin and Clarithromycin. I also been watching my diet. I have gave several blood, urine tests. Few days ago had an endoscopy done and gave a stool test. Everything came back normal and I told that the infection is no longer in my system. I have also done a lower abdominal ultra sound just in case and that was normal also. Every doctor has said that it's all from stress and anxiety. I don't have any pain or heartburn yet nothing and I mean NOTHING would stop this awful nausea I have day and night and belching. I wake up with it and it lasts the whole day then I go to sleep with it. I can't take it anymore it's so bad that I can't even seem to eat anymore or after I do I'm forced to make myself vomit. Please help I'm desperate for answers. :(

Hi there!
In 2000(I'm a vet) I woke up nauseous one morning and it didnt go away...Several doctors suggested it may be psychosomatic, after the standard scans and blood tests came back negative....I knew it was more than that and pursued it online and diagnosed myself with heavy metal poisening..I went to see a prominent M.D. alternative medicine Dr..I had a few dozen chelation treatments and it did work...the nausea went away..so there is one cause of 24/7 nausea nobody mentioned .A DMPS challenge test for about 20 metals was 200.00 dollars in western canada in 2004, but go to a reputable naturopath, an M.D. naturopath if possible..With all the metals falling from the sky every day from the chemtrails spraying program ,soon chelation may be commonplace?..

I would go to another gastroenterologist for a 2nd opinion. But also, stress can do terrible things to you. After my mom passed away, I had stomach problems, nausea, couldn't sleep at night because I couldn't get comfortable, lost 15 lbs., for a year. And then it just went away. Good luck - I hope you get well soon.

My doc finally put me on Xanax (anti-anxiety). I was already on Lexapro (depression). The only reason I thought I had anxiety was when it was quiet around me, I could feel my heart pounding. And the Lexapro did not take care of that. Good luck!

Hi All;

I don't believe anyone has suggested ginger for nausea on this thread yet.

It's so powerful against nausea that chemo patients use it. You can either take capsules or drink it as tea. Try a very small amount at first to see how you react to it.

Good luck! I hope and pray that you all feel better soon.

Hi! My name is Nastia. I have constant nausea too. I have treated for H. Pylori recently but nausea is with me every day 24/7. I have a frequent burping too. To be honest I don`t think it is stress or depression, but I`m going to use antidepressants as Xanax or Zofran because I can`t live like this anymore.
I live so for 9 months. I don`t know what is it... May be this is problems with gallbladder or stomach. I am very sorry you are suffering from it... This nausea is simply unbearable and i feel you...

Hi Nastia i know it's a horrible feeling and I feel the same way about it not being related to depression. I'm sure that stress affects my nausea and makes it worse but stopping university has removed all the stress that i being put under. I'm waiting to see which antidepressant the doctor tells me to try and I will let you know. Xanax didn't work for me. TRUST ME that unless you have a gallstone in your gallbladder do NOT remove it. Removing my gallbladder was the worst decision I've ever made because my nausea got so much worse. I feel for you too and I will keep you updated if anything changes and please let me know on your progress and what happens with you!

Thank you for your response. This nausea is really debiliating....oh... I don`t know what to do...and this burping..... I am so frustrated. I am glad I am not alone. Now I am taking domperidone (motilium) but it doesn`t help almost. And when I worry for smth I feel worse too. I am not going to my university, I can`t attend it. I feel you so much. I am from Russia ( 18 year old) and how do you think what is it? I made so many tests which came back normal beside gastroduodenitis. What are you going to do? I am going to another gastroenterologist ( 6 th already) after tomorrow. But I am not sure that it helps
About antidepressants... I suppose that taking it is excision of result but not a cause. But I can mistake ( who knows)
Sorry for possible mistakes in English.
I am with you of course and I am on this forum every day)
I want to add that i had sister who suffered too ( we are twins)
Ask me for some questions if you have.
Frankly
Nastia

I know I can't believe I'm talking to someone who's about my age and going through the same issue as me. This is hell. I've also tried motilium and all sorts of different pills (35 different pills to be exact). You have nothing to lose by seeing another gastro doctor i think i saw 6 of them too before i started seeing different specialists. I don't know what it could be honestly. Have you done MRIs of the brain or stomach? Maybe there's a blocked nerve in the brain that's associated with the nausea area in the brain they checked that for me but everything was normal. Also try an ear doctor as well if theres an imbalance of water in your ears. I've done so many tests and scans and even a surgery and nothing helped. I've been admitted to the hospital 3 times because sometimes the nausea gets so bad that I almost faint and of course like you the burping is so horrible and loud. The psychiatrist made me do a psych test that showed that I'm depressed but obviously I'm going to be depressed if after a year and 2 months no one has figured out what's wrong with me. And of course since the test showed that I'm "depressed" he has my whole family convinced that this is the diagnosis and that i should seek therapy and take pills and that the nausea will go away. But he said that if I don't believe that this depression is the reason that I'm nauseous that therapy and the pills won't work. I just can't believe that all of this suffering is due to a depression, which i didn't even have in the first place. Of course i was stressed in university..who isn't but common! I'm so frustrated i feel like no one is understanding this. There's always the option that I go to Mayo clinic but my family is begging me to give this therapy and pills my full attention and try to believe that this is the reason for my nausea. I don't know what to do. If someone gave you a test of 577 questions that showed you were depressed and told you that this was the reason for your nausea would you believe them? I'm so confused and frustrated I can barely sleep. I'm also here to talk to if you prefer emailing that can also work or we can talk here. Anyways keep me updated with what your gastro doctor tells you after tomorrow and I'll let you know the next time I hear from my psychiatrist. Good luck!!

I answered you yesterday but guess you didn't get it. Xanax. But GP didn't prescribe this until they put me thru the gamut of tests to rule out anything physical (endoscopy, upper/lower GI tests). And I may have overemphasized my nausea. I would go to eat a meal and could only eat 10-12 bites before I was full. It felt like I had something stuck in middle of my breastbone - no pain but uncomfortable which is why I couldn't get comfortable at night. I had already been on Nexium for 7 yrs. so we knew it wasn't Gerd. If you are only nauseous after you eat, it has to be gastric related. You could have an infection in your stomach. Good luck!

Hi ck438,
I just wanted to ask you what ended up happening with you? How did your nausea end up going away? Personally my nausea is not only after i eat but it is unfortunately a feeling that lasts 24/7. I've tried xanex but that didn't do anything for me.. your answer would be really appreciated. Thank you!!

Hi!!! Now I am reading your message and understand I have the same problem as you((( I have done brain MRI and it is normal. I have not done MRI of stomach because this procedure is not carried out in my city. I live in fear what is it. I also can`t sleep before deep night. It is so disgusting feeling of constant nausea (24/7)and loud very frequent burping. Sometimes I can`t eat (((Unfortunately almost all doctors in my country don`t care for the patients. I faced with rudeness of docs and reluctance to help. I live in real horror.:(
All started very unexpectadly for me. It is ruining my life. I read many threads about chronic nausea and burping but I am not able to find solution for this weird issue. I desire to share with you with some information I have on this moment. I communicated with a man who suffered from nausea and belching for over a year. He have treated for helicobacter Pylory but nothing has changed. But after that he said me that all began after bodybuilding excercises. But I have never did it at all. And you?? I talked with him some days ago. And he is going to do a nissen fundoplication surgery. What do you think about it? Some people from GERD forum adviced me to do this step. But I don`t know... I found one forum in the net and saw a lot of stories as ours.
Some people ( but very few that I found) did a fundo surgery and nausea went away. Another people took pills ( Antidepressants and other psychotropic drugs) for many years((
I had psychological test and he showed that I am normal. My neurologist said that I have depression because I cried and he saw my tears . But I am depressed because I am always sick and don`t know how to be.
I want to say that I have constipations too. And you?
I don`t give up and hope one day we`ll feel better. My heart is with you. Please know it. I understand you like as no other. I `ll let you know what is happenning with me of course.

Best wishes.
Nastia

Hi,

Have you ever considered that you might have Candida. If you have been on Antibiotics at anytime it is a possibility.
I suffered this myself after Antibiotic treatment and it can cause many symptoms, (look it up). Not many Dr's acknowledge Candida but a Haemeopathic Practitioner may test you for this,

Solofelix.
