Hello all,
I'm new to this so I guess I'll just jump right in. I am 27yrs old married for the last 5 years and have 2children a son 4, and a daughter 10mon. Well about a year ago, I was taking a nap during the day, My husband and son were also home and in the same room. When I woke up I realized that I couldn't move. It was like my conscience was awake but my body wasn't. I was terrified. I began screaming trying to get Ken (my hubby) to hear me but he couldn't. I tried to move my arms and legs or turn my head but again couldn't. I didn't understand what was going on, I could hear Ken and Walker (my son) playing and the T.V. was on and I could hear it all clearly. This is where it gets a little foggy, I remember waking up but not how, if that makes any sence. It was like I fell back to sleep for a second or two and then woke up as normal. When I did finally wake up fully, I could recall all that was said during this experience, and what was played on the T.V., I asked my husband if he could hear me hollering for him and he said no, (I was a little irritated because I thought, I was screaming with all my might and he couldn't hear me!). I experienced this strange occurrence one other time also while napping during the day with the same results. At the time I was not sure what happened, and am still not really sure if this is sleep Paralysis.
The reason it took me a year to post what happened was, I tried to put it out of my mind (it was a little unsettling, I told my hubby at the time it happened but no one else) until last weekend my mother myself and 3 of my aunts were talking about having similar experiences. I decided I wanted to know what exactly was happening, I know this is amazingly long thank you for listening

Hey Cookie, I've had this too. If you can remember to wiggle your toes, it will wake you up. It's about the only thing that moves at this time. I've tried to have a little fun with it when it happens to me. Like I'll feel myself raise my arm, then crack my eye open and the arm didn't move. So I know I'm dreaming. Once your consious of the fact that your dreaming you can actually get up, but keep your eyes closed or you'll be right back where you started. I've flown, walked around the room before. Visit someone I'd like to see or hear from. Living and passed on people. If this is too freaky for you then wiggle your toes, and wake up.

Also wanted to mention that a thread in this forum was started awhile back, you might want to find that one and read some other posts. Diana
