View Full Version : I need to moan to someone

I'm just writing for a moan really. I really need some sleep. I've been on that many kinds of herbal sleeping pills I must have a child proof head, and none of them work. It's rather difficult getting motivated during the day when you've only had an hour's sleep. My dad's only advice is do more during the day, but it's difficult to do a lot when you're that exausted you can hardly move. I don't want to bug him anymore about it...he's got his own problems to deal with, so I thought I'd come and whine to people who are suffering from the same thing. Thanks for bearing with me xxx

I'm sorry. I know exactly how you feel.

Have you tried a combination of melatonin and valerian? Or even melatonin on its own. The other thing is a blend of essential oils that have a calming affect. I have been using a blend of lavender, frankinsence in a base oil with my young son (for other reasons) It seems to calm him enough to make him sleepy.

After extensive reading on the subject of sleep I've come to the conclusion that the least damaging sleeping pill you can try is Sonata. (Used by the astronauts.) Of course the use of sleeping pills should be the very last alternative used for sleep as all are harmful in the long run. Sonata is used only at night and only as needed. Might also experiment with small doses of Remeron, an antidepressant. I take it myself and know for sure it's very sedative. Supposed to be for depression but many of us take it in small doses for sleep. Much better off if you can make it without meds, but if not------------. I know what it is night after night with little or no sleep.

thanks to the two replies above, I'm willing to try various ways to help me sleep, and I appreciate your suggestions. Take Care.
