Has anyone else experienced SP (sleep paralysis) or OBE (out of body experience)?
I've been having these for the last 6 months - so far 5 SP episodes and 4 OBE's.
To clarify:
SP is where when you go to sleep you fall into REM sleep (rapid eye movement sleep) and then when you come out of REM sleep and return to normal sleep, SP is where your mind wakes up but your body stays asleep and so you "know" you are awake, but your body is totally paralysed and vibrating all over.
OBE - from SP in vibrational state, I have then been having OBE's. Literally, knowing I'm wide awake but totally paralysed, I try to move (and I mean really physically try to move) and my "inner body" (sorry that's the only way to describe it other than call it my soul) literally moves when I want it to. sorry, probably not making much sense here. I should say, my "inner body" is ME - my BODY is paralysed, but I can leave my body and move around, see, hear, smell, everything.
It's weird, when I am out of my body (it's never for very long - I get too excited and then go straight back and then wake up properly), but when I am out of my body there is like this really gentle breeze, my voice sounds echoey and when I jump, I don't come down again!
Anyone else experience this?

An "OBE" can be part of the SP/REM experience. The brain is in various states of wake/REM/dreaming when this occurs. Nothing about the experience should be considered "real."

Trust me - it's definitely REAL! Last time I experienced it, I experienced other things too, like what they commonly call the "astral wind" - I felt the breeze - it was truly amazing. I never remember anything I dream about - these occurrences were definitely NOT dreams - they were real, as real as me sitting here typing this. But the most amazing thing is the first one I ever had happened quite a while ago, and yet I remember every last little detail - the experience will stay with me forever.

Hi all
I consider that OBE is real since my dad had one after a heart attack and my sister been having uncontrollable ones.
I tried to induce one when I was at college, it scared the life out of me. I feel onset of going to sleep unable to move then I heard a loud click. It must be the click that scared me. I couldn't sleep, thus only getting 3 hours sleep at that night.
Ever since I never attempted to induce one because how much it scared me. I also read in one of the books 'If you have a heart problem, don't do it', I been having minor palpitions since I was 14 and 3 major palpitions which is a like a heart attack (these ones are scarey).
I assumed it is a heart problem so therefore I have never attempted again just in case of any consiquences.
These paliptions is nothing inducing Astral Travel or OBE, I had these before attempting but no other documents says about this warning apart from the books that I got at home which I got for birthday.
