Hi everyone,
I have the same problem as some of you have mentioned also - I can't get to sleep until 3am and then can't get up until 12 midday with 5 alarm clocks set!
If I choose to do I can sleep for 4 days and nights only getting up to eat occassionally - I tried this on the advice of a nurse who suggested I try to see how long I could sleep for - I got bored after 4 days adn nights - I could have gone on!!
I had glandular fever and M.E./CFS afterwards and am now 19 years down the line - I have got rid of most of the symptoms by reading up on stuff from USA mainly.
The problem I am left with is this sleep disorder - I am a psychologist and have a list of qualifications as long as my arm but am on state benefits as I canonly work a few hours a week late in the day as I can't wake up to work full time.
It has completely ruined my life and if one more friend suggests some self discipline or trying to alter my body clock an hour at a time when I have been trying both these options for 19 years I will scream!
Does anyone know of any sleep specialists in the UK - I got a referral at last a week ago but he has refused to see me as he says that he has lots of patients like me and can't do anything for them! and has nowhere to refer them!!
Needless to say I am going to make a complaint to the health authority and insist that I get to see someone - but I wondered if any of you knew of anyone who might be more supportive.
Kind regards
