Just wondering if anyone has ever heard of a problem like this. When I fall asleep (in front of the tv) before bedtime and then awaken, I feel totally weird, like there is no oxygen getting to my head - I'm stuffed up, my eyes are puffy and I quite disoriented? Does this sound like it could possibly related to a sleep disordre? I also have episodes where I wake up in the middle of the night confused . I am going to get checked out for TMJ but thought I might ask in case anyone has ever heard of this...my dad has sleep apnea, could this also be it? I do not snore.

Hi, when I wake up the same way after I've only slept for a very short bit, I feel exactly the same. I just believe it is from sleeping for too short a time. The body must want to relax but we get up instead while I body is still asleep?????????
It is usually when I fall asleep in front of the TV and maybe after 20 mins wake up and the feeling is like you said, all stuffy in the head and a buzzing feeling.
I think it is normal.
