I'm awake. Nothing helps me fall asleep at night on my own. I started taking tylenol pm a couple weeks ago to help me sleep.....it worked,I got to sleep by 10 and would wake up around 7. Now the bottle's empty, and my sleep problems are back. What to do? :(

Ohhhhh!!!! How I relate to you! Ever since I had children, I sleep light as a feather! I hear everything and my kids are grown! My hubby snores and I too was up at 3:30 this morning! Now I am tired so I will probably take a nap this afternoon which will REALLY throw my sleep schedule off! I also take Tylonol PM and I'm just waiting for something to come out on the news something bad about taking that for insomnia! WHen you really think about it, EVERYTHING's bad for you in one way or another.....except a good relationship with God! Now that's healthy!

Tylenol PM is basically benedryl with tylenol. If it works for you, maybe get a large pack of store brand diphenhydramine (which is benedryl), without anything else cluttering it up (that is, just the antihistimine- no decongestant or other "cold" remedy).
It does work until you get immune to it. Other over the counter antihistimines are good for falling asleep as well (not the "non drowsy" ones of course-- just the regular old fashioned ones).
good luck. Hope you got some sleep!

GRAVOL anti-nausea works wonders. It is diphenhydrinate an antihistamine too. CHEAP also.

But I don't want to have to take a pill every night in order to fall asleep.
