My dr told me to take the Trazodone a half hour before I go to bed. Well last night I took it and went right to bed, but I wasn't thinking. I woke up this morning just like I hadn't had 8 hours of sleep. I guess I should have taken it a half hour before I went to bed and maybe it would have worked. I am going to try taking it a half hour before bed tonight and see what happens. Does anyone know if Trazodone is addictive? My dr. did not recommend a sleep study. I have never had this problem before. I just started having this problem about 2 to 3 weeks ago.

I've take 100 mgs of trazodone every night for the last 6 years. I don't know for sure but I don't think it's addictive. Maybe you need to try different strengths. I tried 50 mgs to 150 mgs but the 100 works best for me. When I took 50 mgs or 150 mgs I felt the same as you do, like I didn't sleep much the night before.
