Hello All

Well the day is coming, Sunday, April 1, 2001. I have been feeling the side effects of Zyban, the good and the bad ones. During the past three days, I haven't really wanted the cigarette, it kinda been just because, and only then I am smoking half of one. I have taking smoking out of my house, so that helps also. Last night I only smoked three cigarettes during a seven hour period, normally half a pack would be gone. The only time I really feel like I need one is in the morning, this one is going to hurt, I know it. Last week I started to take a shower and get ready for work, before I have a cigarette and that is okay. This week I am trying to wait till I possibly can to have one, but it is so hard. Seems like something is missing, with my coffee. This morning the need, (not even really a craving, something I can't describe), but I left for work early, so that I wouldn't have another one.

The side effects that I have begun to face, I am very thirsty, which is fixed with water, although I am traveling to the bathroom lots, the other one, is my dreaming, and waking up. The dreams are so real, and actually seems like they are happening, that they wake me up. Sometimes it takes awhile for me to go back to sleep. Although this waking up could also be part of my thyroid problem. Not sure.

So far so good, only 4 sleeps to go, and I will be free!!!!!!!!

Wendy- Great! The dreams and sleep are due to the anti-depressent. It took me about 8 weeks to see all the side effects go away on celexa.(as you know I am hypo) I am so glad you started the Zyban before you quit. The first smoke is the hardest. I just didn't give my self enough time to have one... I ate my breakfast in the car (granola bars & water). Try to change your moring habit/routine to "rewire your urge button" if you have a smoke with coffee subsitute the cig with a strawberry...or such...

:) You can do it. :)
