Hi, I'm 24 years-old, and have been nicotine free for a couple of days. I've smoked for about 10 years (started pretty early). I've been experiencing some rather strange sensations these last two days. It's almost dizziness but not quite; it comes in brief spurts all of a sudden, and it hasn't stopped since it started. It really kicks in when I turn my head to the right or left. I've noticed this sensation when I've had fevers before, but I don't have a fever right now. Is this normal?? If so, how long will it last?? Thanks for any help.

When I quit I remember sensations like that, all withdrawl symptoms will lessen day by day, believe me. Hang in there though, you won't regret quiting, I sure haven't. Just remember all the stink and filth with smoking, not to mention all your health concerns will improve, Congratulations, you have done a good thing. Buck.

I agree with Buck58 that it is normal,and I remember something like that as well. Chances are that it will go away soon, so hang in there! And Congrats on quitting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Sound like a something I experanced. Remeber if it dosen't go away in a few weeks or it feels wrong call your Dr and ask.

Thanks for the feedback and encouragement everybody. After talking to my doctor, he feels that it was in part due to nicotine withdrawal, and in part due to stopping a medication that I was on. At any rate, all is better now. Still smoke free and looking forward to saving thousands of dollars over the years (boat money!!!). My fiancee has been kicking the quitting idea around herself; I won't nag her, but I'll definitely support her. I hope she can succeed as well. Thanks again folks.
