Hello there! Just wondering how you're doing?
Are the patches still working for you or did you go with the gum? I've stopped (again) yesterday and this time I'm going cold turkey.
Wish me luck

I had to change my user name because they replaced my computer at work and I lost my password, data, etc. Ugh. I am still smoking, can't use the patch for any length of time as it makes me feel sick to my stomach. Have you ever tried Zyban? I would like to hear about anyone's experiences, I am calling my doc this afternoon to get a prescription. I can't understand why it's so much harder to quit this time around...I quit several years ago for almost 5 years!
Good luck with your quitting...I hope you do it!! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/redface.gif)

babitofresh,
i quit via the patch and an anti depressant called Celexa. The thought NEVER crossed my mind that I could actually quit. My motivation was finding out I had permanant scarring on my lungs at 25 yrs old. So I began taking the Celexa, and then two weeks later threw on the patch, and I was so surpised that I wasn't freaking out and craving. i just wasnt't. It was at that point, I began thinking, "I might be able to do this". The more days that past made me not want to blow it by smoking. Plus, my 9 year old's excitment also kept me going. :)
if the patches are making you sick to your stomach, try a lower dose. Were you on step 1? maybe cut them in 1/2?

Well, I'm not doing too well. Cold turkey doesn't work for me, I can't seem to cut out those last 2 or 3 at the end of the day.
I might try the patches again - they seemed to work quite well, my only problem is peer pressure. And I know it sounds daft but if someone is smoking near me, I want one too. The worst thing about this is that I dont know ANYONE who doesn't smoke! How sad is that?
Good luck with the Zyban - I've never heard of it I'm afraid and don't know if it's available in Greece so cant try it myself.
Let me know how you get on.
