Hello all

I told myself that tommorrow I will quit. I just need some support and you guys give great information and are very inspiring.

What should I expect and what are the best ways to quit this nasty habit that has destroyed my life?

Also I have been having sleeping problems (insomnia) will quitting help out a lot?

Thanks

Hi!
I am new to the board too.

Unfortunately, I think quitting,at first, may interupt a good night sleep. This should only last about a week or so. (I think it is a withdrawal symptom)

I am 32 years old and have been smoke free two weeks. I have quit many times before, for 2-3 months even. My health has now been affected by my smoking. I have a herniated disc, and believe that smoking since I was 15 has contributed to it.

Don't wait....quitting smoking can only make you feel better!!

I pray I can keep my success going.

I know you can do it too!!

Good Luck and keep in touch!
Tracey

After quitting for several weeks you will notice that your sense of taste improves, everything seems to taste so much better. However the junk food seems to taste really great.....oh oh serious weight gain has started. Try to avoid the junk food, munch on carrots, celery etc. etc.. whenever you get the urge to have a smoke.
