I haven't been smoking for that long. In fact, the most I've ever smoked in one day is one cigarette. But I have OCD, some symptoms of depression, etc., and I feel mentally addicted to cigarettes. I know that cigarettes are terrible for the body and the spirit. I'm a Christian, and I feel guilty for polluting my body with carcinogens. Plus, I don't like being so secret from my parents who trust me. But at the same time, I feel like I REALLY want/sometimes need a cigarette after school. If I'm on my own, I'll sometimes have a smoke. Like I said, I'm probably not physically addicted, but I just can't stop wanting cigarettes. What should I do?
Thanks, Sunny

Hi Sunny,
Nicotine is a very powerful drug.
If it's only after school that you crave a cigarette, maybe you could change your routine at that time. The longer you go without a cigarette the easier it gets.
Good luck.

hi ya,
you might want to try being around non smokers a bit more at the times you crave a ciggie. i'm not trying to be nasty to them or anything, but a friend said that the number of cigarettes she smoked daily drastically reduced when she started living with non smoker, also, when you socialise with smokers, you will be likely to smoke a few "social" ciggies.
Since you are a christian, I would also reccomend that you pray. Nothing is impossible for God to do. I sincerely believe that. Will say a few words to the Man upstairs on your behalf as well.
It'll all turn out well
Good luck & God Bless
