Welp I'm trying the patch and so far its been tough but I havent smoked. I've quit before for 2 months at a time. I think I'll make it this time as I really have to quit after having serious chest pains a month ago. Still waiting on Doc's results of a stress test. I find memories of watching my grandmother slowly die from Lung Cancer as motivation to quit. I 've also heard about people who had quit 20 years ago and were just now getting emphasyma and lung cancer. Scary stuff. I been smoking for 15 years and I figure Better now than later. Well good luck to everyone else trying out there. You can do it!

Today is day 6 and still havent smoked :)
Day 3 was really tough, I dont think 5 minutes went by that I didnt want a smoke. It is getting better, very slowly, but it is. Thx for your support in the replies, it really does help.

You're doing great!
I remember those first few days of being a non-smoker. Day 1 was the easiest because I was so pumped about it being my first day as a non-smoker. By day 3 I was ready to kill somebody! It does get easier. I'm pleased to say that I've made it over 7 months, and it wasn't that difficult. I did it, and so can you!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! and keep up the good work (and not smoking is Work!). I quit on the 9th. Have heard eating lots of dark green leafy vegs helps detoxify you faster and ease cravings. Whether true or not, I figure it is better than eating sugar right now!
