I asked this question on another board about a week and a half ago, no replies. I'm going to try here to see if any of you have encountered this problem when you did smoke. I'm a heavy smoker, and have been smoking for about 5 years now. I DO want to quit because of this problem. For the past few days I've had a pretty nasty cough, and I cough up phelgm that has little dots or streaks of dark blood in them. I was wondering if this could be because of smoking too much? I don't have any chest pain, or shortness of breath. I just have all this mucus (sorry if this is gross) and the blood in it is really starting to scare me! I've kept telling myself not to smoke anymore but I always end up doing it anyway and to excess! Someone please help me :(

Anytime you have blood coming from a place that there shouldn't be, is a good time to call the Dr. for a check-up!!!!!
Sounds like a great time to quit smoking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can do it!!!
