Hey Ken, I post this message in the other box and we rattled on so much that we now have two pages. I wasn't sure if you would notice the second page with all the "happy pills" and "enhancers" your on. :D So I started a new page.
Abnormal Ken,
Sorry about the delayed response. Life got crazy!!I hope you had a great time at your relative's. You're right, sleeping at a relatives house didn't work for me either. :D Two weeks after surgery I flew out to my parents house in Florida. Bad timing with vacation. So I got to spend 2 weeks on a beach in Fl. with the lovely Miami Collar!! Well, at least it matched my bikini!! :D Made the most of it. I was a little bummed, I only got to go surfing twice!! Just Kidding!!
Ok, I promise I wont do this often but on a "serious" note when they thought I had cancer it hit me hard. You hear the word cancer and your first thought is I'm going to die. I thought a lot about my kids. I felt I was going to miss them grow up. I was going to miss their birthdays, first dates, learning to drive, going away to school, getting married......I wondered if my two younger ones would even remember me? Everything goes through your mind.
It started with a swollen lymph node in my groin area. I went to my doctor and he noticed a suspicious mole on the bottom of my foot. I went to a dermatologist and he found 3 moles he wanted to remove. Was told he was checking for melanoma. Of course that is the worst kind of skin cancer. Just my luck!
I would find a new lymph node almost everyday. In my armpits, neck, groin, throat and back. They were everywhere.
Got the results of my biopsies. They came back fine. So from there they sent me to a cancer doctor. He was thinking Lymphoma. He did a CAT scan and Thank God that came back fine. I go back in 4 months and he will recheck me again. So now I wait.
And through all that the reason I went to see my doctor in the first place was because of my neck. And you know how that turned out! It has been a crazy 7 months!!
Ok, sorry! I wont get serious on ya again, but if I do a little Spray- n- Wash will take care of that! Hey, played a little soccer last night. Went and scrimmaged with my soccer team. It felt great to be back!! I made a lot of people nervous!! But they did a great job of playing off of me. Of course I was the one having the hard time remembering to take it easy!!
I also have been bike riding and I am still running. Are you offering to go windsurfing?? :D Never done that but always willing to try!! Is this something that you enjoy doing?
So, what's going on with Ken. Its been 3 weeks now. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dance.gif Are you still walking the streets? Have you gotten use to your collar yet? Don't you love the looks you get when you're out and about in your collar!! I think adults are worse then kids.
This got long, by now your a$$ has fallen asleep! So go take a dip in the hot tub. Have a good one! Oh heck have two!!~~LUMPY
PS. GO BROWNS!!

I can't say how sorry I am to hear about the ordeal that you and your family have been through these last months. How terrible to have gone to have something checked and then they start looking into all kinds of other things. I know as a father of two young ones how difficult it must have been, especially early on when you hear the news of possible cancer. Forgive me when I ask, but how old are your young ones? Hug them, kiss them and love them since we never know how long we'll be with them.
On the other hand, it's great news to hear that everything has come back negative although you said youre still waiting a few months for another checkup. I hope your mind has been somewhat at ease although not entirely I'm sure.
Wait a minute, shrit-shrit, a little spray n wash, and back to the fun. That tan line must have looked awesome, I'm guessing a nice, bronze face, pale neck and a nice bronze everything else. :D I'm sure the best medicine for a cancer scare is a good tan in the Sunshine State!
That's great news to hear you played soccer again http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dance.gif Did you shoot? Did you score? I'm sure it was great to be back doing what you seem to enjoy so much. Keep up the Great Work!!!
Bike riding(love that), running and playing soccer? Lady, grab a hold of those reins and make sure youre not gonna overdo it although it sounds like youre feeling great. When do you go back to your doctor again?
What's up with me is that I went back to work last week. I'm an engineer/architect/designer/planner blah, blah blah which means I was the kid who played with the legos all the time. Sitting in on meetings and at drawing boards and computers gets old quickly, I never realized how quickly until now, so I come and go as my neck allows. I have felt so much better this past week that I decided to go back in and up my office time as I feel. Although my favorite part of work is, Lunch. Some things never change although in school it was gym. Did that make any sense? I'm still walking as much as I can and yeah, it has been a little humorous to notice the reaction and stares some people will give. Does'nt bother me much though, in fact I generally laugh and take a light approach to it.
Windsurfing? Of course, if you are ever in the Windy City and want to windsurf, come on down. I love to do that, mountain bike, kayak...all the outdoorsy stuff and am always willing to try new ones. Rock climbing anyone?
Before this post gets too long,(too late) I am enjoying my hot tub and cold beers and I noticed that my Bears won this past weekend while the Go Browns took their hats off just a little early. Too bad, it sounded like an entertaining game that ended on a strange note. Oh well, must go. I look forward to your posts, keep em coming & let me know how life is treating you. Until then, keep smiling!
~Ken~
P.S. Who's gonna win dis week? Da Bears!

Ken,
Good morning!! Sounds like your doing much better in your collar. That's great. Hey, I'm a mom. I love taking about my kids. My sons are 12, 9, 7 and my daughter is 5. They're great and I love them to death!!
Oh......what a tan line!! You guessed it right! How did you put it? A nice bronze everything?! The best medicine for a cancer scare IS a good tan. Very funny! In fact when I went back to my dermatologist he asked why I wasn't wearing any band-aids over the incision where he removed the moles.. I told him I didn't want any tan lines!! :D He didn't find that to funny.
Hey, I go to see my neurosurgeon today. I call to make 6 month appointment and I asked if I could start running, biking, dribbling around a soccer ball, or go jet skiing now that I am free from my collar at the end of this week. He said he would like me to come in for x-rays and he would tell me then what I can do. I cant wait to see what he has to say, seeing that I have been doing some (ok all) of these things for the past 2 weeks. :nono:
Reins? Baby, I'm ridding bareback!! :D (I'm being careful) Yes! I played soccer again. Had a blast! It felt good to be back! Except for a couple of weak passes, I felt that I had not miss a beat. Lungs gave out before my legs but I guess that was to be expected.
I also have been bike riding. Now this is something new to me. I was a little disappointed my first time out. I don't know much about switching gears and was having a hard time on my first hill. Unfortunately I live in a town that is all hills. But things started to get better and I ended up having a really good ride. I thought I went a lot farther then I did but it ended up being only 9 miles. Oh well first time out. You said you love bike riding. How long have you been riding?
Back to work. Bummer!! Sounds like you have a lot of freedom with your work schedule. That's cool. Lunch Ken? Well I guess it all depends on what you do with your lunch hour! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dance.gif
Outdoorsy stuff is my thing too. Be careful on your offers you may end up hearing a knock, knock, (who's there?) on your door. :D
Well off to the neuro!! I will post you with the results of my doctor appointment. Have a Great Day!!~~KIM
PS. Was that Duh...Bears??!! :D

That post was so funny that I had to respond as soon as I read it. Part scary, mostly hilarious and always playful. Where do I start?
Sounds like your hands are full with four under twelve. I believe you said three of them are playing so that alone is enough to keep anyone busy with running them here or there or everywhere. With that many people demanding of your time do you get "your time"? Is that when you run, bike ride, play soccer, etc?
Tan line? Or No tan line??? http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/wow.gif Riding bareback but being careful? ;) Wow, intriguing and interesting to say the least.
It's great to hear you feel like you did before on the field with just a small loss of touch. The lungs will be back, just give them time as you have been out of practice for quite a while. But it sounds like you're well on your way back!!!
I hope your visit with your neuro goes well, I was about to post a congratulations to you about that, but I figured it would be best to hear your news first. I hope your x-rays are good and you can start PT or get a blessing on activities that you would like to do, I mean, activities that youre already doing. :D Keep us posted on your visit and your progress.
I've been riding for several years now, it was a nice change of pace from softball and the wear and tear on my knees from soccer. My knees feel much better now although I know that in the past they would hurt if I played for long periods of time. Maybe I should buy stock in Vioxx if I ever wanted to return to an adult league. Ha,ha.
The invite to come up is always open, feel free anytime cause as soon as I'm able, I'm back out enjoying those things again. Catch me if you can.
Have a great day yourself and until next time, keep smiling.
~Ken~
P.S. I don't wanna down the Browns, their helmets are cute like pumpkins and Halloween is around the corner.

Ken,
Hello, Sorry about the late reply. Your right I do have my hands full. My only free night is Friday! TGIF!! I have soccer practice with my kids teams Monday thru Thursday. I try to get in good workout while coaching. I play all the games and run around like a mad woman! On Thursday night I have my adult soccer practice. That's always a great workout. On Saturday and Sundays we have games. Busy, busy, busy!
Tan line or No tan line??? What do you think??? http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dance.gif
I really enjoyed bike ridding. I still have a lot to learn. But it was a great time. Its nice that you still have something you can do that you love. I bet you cant wait to get back out here.
Ok, the part in your post about "catch me if you can" made me laugh. Here's what I'm thinking. A 33 year old man, just coming back from major neck surgery, spent most of his recovery time in hot tub watching football, most likely with beer in one hand and a brat(wink-wink) in the other. Not to mention bad knees and what I hope is a bottle of Vioxx in his pocket!! :D Catch you?? Piece of cake!! :D
Just kidding. Now that I am just getting back to all the things I love to do, I cant wait for you to be able to do the same. You sound a lot like me and I bet its driving you crazy!
Ok question time: What is the craziest thing you have ever done?? If you can share.
Well I hope things continue to improve for you. Cant wait to hear from ya again. What's it now 5 weeks??!!! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dance.gif Keep up the great work!! In an old post I asked everyone what they were going to do with their collar when they were done wearing it. Sam I Am ran his over with a truck and mounted it in the garage(freak!), one lady was going to let her dog distroy it, and someone hung theirs on the family room wall. Do you have any thoughts as to what to do with yours when your free from it?? I still have to decide on mine.
Have a good one!! ~~Pumpkin head
Joke time:
Q. How do you keep bears out of your backyard?
A. Put up a pair of goal posts.

Pumpkin Head Freak,
Hey, howya doin? I am so sorry it took so long to get back to your last post. I really look forward to your posts and have read it several times but it seems like I sit down to write and then have to go do something else. Besides, boo-hoo, my Bears lost for the first time while your Brownies now have the same 2-1 record!
How to respond to your post??? Let me think, I'll go wishful thinking and say No tan lines :bouncing: You don't have to answer, although the tan line from the collar would have been interesting to see.
It's been six weeks today and I feel incredibly good despite still some soreness across the back of my neck and upper back, like my shoulder area. No hauling logs for a while I guess. I now go back at the eight week mark for a checkup to see how things are going. I really hope for a great progress check and hopefully I can get to a regular PT program.
Your schedule sounds pretty hectic. What do you do just direct deposit a portion of your paycheck with BP? Run here, run there, sounds like youre already doing more running around than youre supposed to. It's great that you enjoy the involvement with the kids' soccer, I've seen in the past, several parents just drop kids off and leave, even at the early age groups like 7-8 year olds. It's a sad situation where they are so busy they can't hang around for an hour for their kid.
Have you given much thought to when you will return to your adult team? Just please take it easy when you do go back,e specially early on.
The craziest thing I've ever done? Let me think about that cause there is several craziest things. Some I'm sure I can't share on this forum so I'll just hint around to them. I'll get back to you on this.
And what will I do with my collar? Not much thought given there so let me think about that as well. What are you going to do with yours. Maybe put a bottom on mine and fill it with beer and pass it around a room of friends to say goodbye to this thing.
I'll be in touch again soon, just hope I don't get arrested. ;)
Keep Smiling,
Ken

Boo-hoo Ken,
Man, I was wondering where the heck you were. I thought, WOW! I've been dumped by a Bears fan! Life doesn't get any lower then this!! :D Missed ya!! Hey, I'm ok with a "quickie" just to let me know your still there! ;)
Duh....Bears lost! Sooo...sorry! :( But it's a tie game folks! Duh..Bears 2-1, Pumpkin Heads 2-1! Oh..what to bet, what to bet? Shall we make it a weekly bet, or one big, best record at end-of-season bet? Like.... If I win, you have to take me windsurfing. If you win, you have to take me windsurfing! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dance.gif
Wow! Six weeks already! Good for you! :D Do you know what your doctor will be doing at your next appointment? Did he say you could possibly be released from your collar? That would be great! Lets hope (as you put it so well) he didn't go to the University of Never Ending Cautiousness( loved that) and you have to wear it longer!!
I wasn't having a good day today. A lot of tightness in the back of my neck and I felt like I was being choked all day. Cant think of anything I did differently? Oh well, lets hope for a better day tomorrow.
When will I go back to my adult soccer? I'm thinking about playing the last game of our outdoor season. That would be at the end of October. I have been going to our practices. Which have been fun. I need to "retrain" the men on my team. They had their "spoon feeding me passes" down and then I got hurt. So now I need to drill that back in their heads. Spoon feed to Kim...spoon feed to Kim! :D
From outdoors we go straight into indoors. I should do two nights of indoor. One night with all women and one coed night. Can't wait!!
I'm still not sure what to do with my collar. Might have a big bonfire in back yard. Have all my friends over. I will make them all wear it while they try to drink a beer with no straw!! Then I'll torch the sucker!
Oh well its getting late better call it a night. You have a good one! And keep in touch as often as you like! You Freak!!~~KIM
Q. How's come Iowa doesn't have a professional football team?
A. Because then Illinois would want one too. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dance.gif Keep Smiling!!

PumpkinHead Kim,
Your posts continue to get better and better. Very funny indeed. All except about my Bears. :( Let me start off by saying sometimes a quickie is the best way to say Hi ;)
Now about the football, you are on. Bears vs. Brownies, week by week or yearly record, and if I win I take you windsurfing and if you win I take you windsurfing. Either way, we are gonna test your strength on a board. It will be a blast! I'm betting on Da Bears while I'm drinking Da Beers http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dizzy.gif
It's too bad to hear about the pain you are having. I wonder what could be different that is casusing this. Has the weather changed that drastic that you think that is the case? We get your weather here first and I haven't noticed a big drop off except that the mornings are much more crisp. Instead of your knees when you get old, it'll be your throat that tells of upcoming rain. "Verl, bring the kids inside, my throat feels like rain ?"
I think it's great that youre gonna play again this fall since you genuinely seem to enjoy the game. The guys will have to keep you happy and re-learn how to feed you the ball. Is your team pretty good? Do you have a lot of experienced players? How are the women, since this is coed? Are they good looking? Ok, you don't have to answer that last one, but please tell me about your team.
I will keep thinking about what to do with the collar when I get to say goodbye to it. A party is definitely in the works, with the only question being how to really give this thing a sendoff worthy of possibly being arrested. Sometimes you've just gotta push the envelope. Talk to you again soon. Until then, keep smiling. :D

Verl,
Ok!...Let the games begin! How does week by week sound? Winner gets to ask any question and loser ( this is where you come in) has to answer. When Its all over, and you finally stop crying, get your wetsuit ready cause its time for your hot wind to fill my sails!! You are the reason they call Chicago the windy city, right??!!
28 year olds (wink-wink) cant predict upcoming rain. Come on now!! My body parts aren't old enough yet!! :D I have had a couple more nights where my neck tightens up on me. Do I think its weather related?? I'm not sure. I know its related to me cooling down after I am hot and sweaty.Once I get a chill forget it. My neck is shot!!
I would think by now the muscles in my neck and back would be back to normal. Wait til your out of your nugget supporter. Its shocking how quickly you lose your muscles. At one of my kids practice we were racing and my team lost. The losers had to do 5 push ups. I was barley able to do them. 7 months ago I could do 50+ now I'm lucky to pull off 10!! :( No quick fix. Lost of work to do!!
Its week # 7!!! One more to go, baby!! What day is your appointment? I'm sure you'll get the news you want to hear. If not, my shoulders are here for you. You can use one for your neck and the other to cry about Duh- bears loss. :)
I got to play a lot of soccer yesterday. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dance.gif I went up to the park and practiced for about an hour. (Ok, I was by myself..That tells you the type of loser your dealing with! ) I had a good time. Worked on my foot skills, took some shot on goal. Not a bad time. Then I had my sons practice. That was about an hour then off to my teams practice. Lots of soccer yesterday. After all that, are you ready, I met up with some of the girls from my team and we soaked in a hot, hot tub!! Do you need a moment?? I'll wait.............are you done?? Ok.
Is my team any good?? Umm... I would say average. We have a LARGE variety of abilities. I would say half of the men and woman have talent. We are a great group of people who are mainly out there to have a good time.I will have fun describing some of them to you in next post.
I will let you go for now. Good luck on your game this week. Your playing the Bill's in their backyard. Duh-Bears haven't won their since 79'. I think I better get my question ready!!
Have a good one!! ~~KIM

PumpkinHead Freak,
What do we do if both our teams lose? :( I can't believe we both lost in overtime yesterday. Oh well, since we need a tiebreaker, ladies can go first, you may ask the first question to be answered honestly. Is this like an anything goes type question?
Before I get too far in this post, I went back for a checkup today and everything is looking great although I haven't been cleared out of the collar just yet. I have only slight tingling in the fingers occasionally and sore muscles around my shoulders and neck but I am feeling much much better. He would like to see me in 2 more weeks for a further checkup and I might be cleared back into the wild again. He would have alot of restrictions for me still, and going to PT at that time to rebuild my mobility and retrain my muscles but it seems like each day brings me back a little stronger than the day before. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dance.gif Here's one for hope on continued recovery and, uh, here's another one wishing everyone on this board a speedy and full recovery! And, well, here's another one, just to have another one!
The hot tub story was GREAT ! Soccer girsl in the hot tub? There's a typo in that last sentence and I'm leaving it cause I couldn't think straight enough to speel it. Ooops, there it goes again. Let me shut the window cause I think it's a little drafty in here. ;)
Tell me about your team. Any characters? You said there were varying degrees of talent, how so? Don't forget stories about the good looking ones. Sorry, coulnd't resist.
Here's looking forward to your question and I'm thinking of one for you since my Bears will reverse this trend and return to their winning ways. Until next time, I hope your neck is doing better and better, Keep Smiling!

Duh-Loser,
Ladies first?? Are you talking to me?? Are you.....talking to me? Is this like an anything goes type question? Uh.. Yeah! Ok, I'll ask first.
Question #1: Do you have large feet? Ok.. just kidding.. no, do you? Ok.. seriously now....
Question #1: Do your feet take up a lot of room in the hot tub?? http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dizzy.gif But really...
Question #1: What size shoe do you wear? :D Sorry...
Ok...#1: What do you look like? Hair color, eyes, height, weight.......I'm guessing that would be my first question from you based on all the comments about the girls on soccer team. So I am asking you first. :D
Great news on your appointment. Sorry about having to wear the neck brace a little longer. You never mentioned the tingling in your fingers before? Wait a minute..you did mention feeling tingly in a past post.... oh, that was not about your fingers. ;)
I can understand about the sore muscles but what did the doctor say about the tingling in your fingers? Did he do any x-rays? Will you be doing PT? I guess I'm not. I know it was mentioned at my first appointment be he never ordered it for me. I was suppose to start it 2 months after I removed the collar?? I never really understood why I had to wait so long. I feel great now so I guess why bother? I have almost full range of motion back. Its still a little tight when I look straight up. But over all not too bad!
Well, we are getting our indoor team all lined up. It looks like I will be playing Monday (all women), Wednesday (coed), and Friday (coed). Should be a lot of fun and keep me in great shape through the winter. Besides I have a board to be strong on at the end of the football season!! ;)
Over all my adult team does pretty well for a new team. I think the managing of the team can be a little better. I think we would/could win more if we played set positions more. They rotate us around so that everyone can have a chance at goal. I don't think that's the smartest way to play a team. Its the most fair, but not the smartest. But like I said, I don't care where I play every position as far as I'm concerned is a striker position. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dance.gif
In an old post you asked if I wore jersey #9? That made me laugh because the guy on our team that wears #9 has scored more goals for the other team then he has for ours! :nono:
Oh well I'm starting to bore you. I cant wait to read your answer to the question. You have an AMAZING night!! ~~ KIM
P.S. You have to go into Sam I Am's post and read his Craziest thing hes ever done story!! Its on page 2. Funny, very funny! The man is a nut!!

Wow, what a post! You funny, funny lady, indeed.
Where to start? Let me say that I'm 6'0", about 190 with brown hair and blue eyes. I wear a size 12 shoe. Hold on a sec while I drop my saddle...hahaha and I wear a Miami collar. Only that last part is just a temporary setback, the rest will stay with me. What about you? What do you look like? Describe yourself with, let's say, in detail. :)
The tingling I described is just ever so slight that I never really bothered with it but I felt that I should tell the doctor when the checkup came about. He doesn't feel, crazy doctor, that it will be a problem for me since the rest of me is doing so well. I hope to get the collar off in the next couple of weeks so that should be a huge relief. Next stop, windsurfing!!! Or the Bears Game!!!
Ok, a second question, describe the women onyour team. Seriously, though, describe the women on your team. Ok, you don't have to but(subliminal message) (you can if you want) Is the reason you guys play all the different positions is to keep it fair? Really, you would think that people our age would put that behind us for what's really important, WINNING!! That was too funny about your number 9, let him know he can't put the ball inyour own net or your gonna cut him. :(
That's all for now. I'll check out the Sam I Am story and look forward to your reply> Yesssssssssssss, I've got that tingling feeling and the funny thing is, I kinda like it. ;)
Until next time, Keep Smiling!

Wow! Your description sounds very nice. Size 12 shoe. It's a keeper!! :D
Where do I start? I am 5'7", about 130 ( I am being truthful here so don't you dare add 10 lbs.) I also have brown hair (almost shoulder length, sassy) but my eyes are brown. Big brown eyes. I almost always have a smile on my face! I love to laugh. I am lightly bronzed everywhere but I am starting to fade. Oh lets see.. what else.. My shoe size is an 8 1/2. Oh alright! I think this is what you wanted to know. 36, 28, 38. :) On really cold days 37, 28, 38. ;)
How has the collar been? Did you get use to sleeping in it yet? I put mine on last night for the halibut and Wow! I can't believe I wore that thing for 11 weeks! I really hope yours comes off in 2 weeks. That should give you plenty of time to recover before the football season is over. I don't want to hear crap like "Really, I can windsurf, its just that my muscles... my neck... my back..." :nono:
Ok, Ok, I will describe the women on my team. There are 10 of us. 5 are pretty good. #1 Maple- She is very good , played in collage. #2 Suzy-Q -(she is the owner of the hot tub) She is very tough on defense and loves to play it. I love when she plays defense because I'm not!! :D #3 Maria- She is the new edition to the team. She was my replacement so lets not talk about her, Kay! No really she is pretty good. She played for the Army? #4 Wounded Knee- she just came back from a torn ACL injury. She plays midfield/forward she is also really good. #5 Talk Smackin Kimmy- that's me! I play mostly midfield/ forward. Love to run!! (my mouth)
The others are #6 Blondie- where great passes go to die! #7 Look Out! Mary-She is crazy and very dangerous! She can really blast a ball. Unfortunately its always over a sideline. #8 & 9 Mrs. Kathy and Mrs. Tammy-they are just a joy to watch. They try so hard. So dainty! And last but not least #10 Michelle- gives all she's got! There you have it. That's the women on my team. I love them all!! And as long as Maria knows her place I can learn to love her! Maybe! :)
Hey, You have a great day!! I hope your neck continues to get better and better!! ~~KIM
Get this right and you can ask one more question this week!
Bonus Question: Gunga galunga...... gunga, gunga galunga? Good Luck!!

I couldn't stop laughing from your last post. I think I broke some velcro during that one. :D All's I know is I hope global warming is all made up and the weather in Ohio just gets colder and colder! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/wow.gif Let's just say I found your growth potential very, shall I say, impressive.
Your description of your team was great. Maple? Wounded Knee? Suzy Q? Are these nicknames that you actually call each other or are you disguising names to protect the innocent? And I won't even mention Mar, oops sorry, we won't mention her until she learns her place. Kay?
Not that I'm really that interested but what about the guys on the team? Any standouts or humorous stories among them? How has your season been going? What are you doing to get ready for your return to the indoor arena? Lastly, Does your doctor know your plans?
I've never really gotten used to sleeping in this collar. Some nights are still harder to sleep than others, but overall it's not been too too bad. Get a little rest, move a little, adjust a little, move a little, adjust a little, a little rest, a little more adjustment...you know the routine I'm sure.
Oh, well, this post has already gone too long and I'm going out to watch Da Bears tonight on Monday Night Football! I heard the highlights of your Brownies game last night. Too bad they lost, cause that means your question will be coming up shortly. Anything goes, and you hafta answer. What can I think of? What can it be? Until then, keep smiling.

Man, We are both big losers again!! My Brownies lost by 5 and Duh...Bears lost by 13. That makes you the bigger loser, so you can ask the next question. Look foward to it! ~~KIM

You know I really can't stand Brett Favre. He's a great QB but he seems to have our number. :(
Total consciousness when you die. That would be my guess on your last question. I remember that from Caddyshack although I couldn't figure out what the answer would be. Am I right? Or close at least?
I guess my first question, and it was tough 'cause I wanted to know so many other things, is a two parter-what are you most proud of having done in your life, and what are you most disappointed or not so proud of? I want the good and the bad on this one.
Still waiting to hear about the rest of your team and how your season is progressing. How is your kids' team season going?
I will sit back and give you time to think of your response and look forward to it. Until then, cheers and keep Smiling!
~Ken~
P.S. You were probably worried my question would be a little intrusive or adult-ish, I'll save that one for later. ;)

Ken,
Man, way to blow the moment! What a couple of tough questions!! Deep baby, deep!! Where's the fun Ken? I want the fun Ken back!!
Ok, I did say any question, so here I go. What is the one thing I am most proud of having done in my life? As a mother, I should say I am most proud of 3 of my 4 children. But that's the easy answer out. (just kidding! I'm proud of them all!) So I will have to say I am most proud of the fact that I never grew up. I don't take life so seriously, in a GOOD way. The little things in life that get to everyone else don't get to me. I handle stress well and will usually laugh my way through a lot of tough times. I try to enjoy myself wherever I go and at everything I do. :D
On to the next question. What am I most disappointed or not so proud of? I am most disappointed in 1 of my 4 children ( sorry! Kidding!!) Ok..Ok..I am disappointed in the fact that I am 35 years old and I haven't grown up yet!! I mean come on, when am I going to start taking life seriously here folks??
Oh...alright. I would have to say I am disappointed in that I did not get to finish college. I stopped going to have my children. I was going to be a Art Teacher when I grow up! And seeing that I have not grown up yet there is still time to finish!!
Yes, you were right. The answer was Caddyshack. Great movie! Well, I hope your bonus question wont be as tough to answer!!
So, you want to know about the men on my team. You Freak!! There are 11 of them. And like the women on the team only about half of the men are any good. The only one on the team that played in college was the guy I told you about in last post. #9. Believe it or not!! I will talk more about them in the next post.
My kids' season went great. I really had a lot of fun coaching. I would really like to take over my youngest sons team. The head coach knows nothing about soccer and the parents are complaining. They would like me to take it over. The bad thing is he thinks he is really good and in his own words " I may not know a lot about soccer, but by golly I am having a lot of fun." He's a really nice man just a little odd.
When is your next doctors appointment? It should be coming up. How does your neck feel? How does it feel when you take the collar off? I got to the point where my neck felt great and I was fighting the collar. I wanted to use my neck but the collar wouldn't let me.
Hey, you have a great day! Post your bonus question. ( Think light! :D) Look forward to hearing from you. ~~ KIM

I'm sitting here at work looking over the boards and re-read your last post. I'm sorry I didn't know I had a bonus question as well to ask you. Well, before I get to that how is your neck feeling? You had mentioned the tingling and muscle spasms particularly when you were cold( :D ) (Yess) Do you still have the pains you were having along your neck and shoulders?
Do you still feel like someone is pressing on your throat?
I'm glad I haven't had many of the problems that you read on this board. Other then slight tingling and the cramping of the muscles , I feel remarkably good. I still am only just walking(not running, or doing the soccer thing) but I feel much stronger and better. Maybe by the four month mark I'll try something a little bolder like biking and light jogging again.
Until then I hope my Bears can get their act together and start winning again. The Browns play Tampa Bay this week, I guess I should start thinking of another question. :p
Bonus question: What is the craziest thing you've ever done? Honest, now, or as honest as you can post on this board. It'll be interesting to hear this one.
Until then, keep smiling!

Working Hard are we Ken? So, how hard are you working? Til 7 or 10?? ( nice joke! )
How are you today! Nice to hear from you so quickly!! Oh.. about my pains. Yes, I still do have some trouble with my throat. Some days are better then others. It feels like someone is continuously press a thumb in on my throat. It can be very annoying at times and sometimes I don't even notice it. It's worse when I put my chin to chest. On cold days that's a very dangerous move!! :D Are you having this same feeling? I noticed it more after I took my collar off. Compared to others out there, this is something I can live with!
Sounds like your doing well. Glad to hear your still walking the streets.Your next appointment should be coming up. Did you have any x-rays done at your last doctors appointment? What has it been now 8½ weeks? I cant believe I went jet skiing at that point!!
Ok, on to your bonus question. What is the craziest thing I have ever done?? I have put a lot of thought into this one. Went back in time and realized I did a lot of really stupid things. Like: as a kid.... we would go sledding down a hill (obviously) in a plastic swimming pool. Not so bad except almost at the bottom of the hill was an electric barbed wire fence we had to duck under??? Or.. playing on a train trestle...as an adult I would say going jet skiing at 9 weeks in a hard collar :nono:, deciding one day out of the blue to get my belly button pierced....as a teenager/ young adult I would have to say I did my craziest thing and that was on a "dare" I entered a wet t-shirt contest. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/wow.gif Did I win?? No. :( I lost to a girl who was willing to show a lot more then I. So your talking to the second place winner! She walked away with the prize and I walked away with just a little more dignity then her. :)
I see Duhhh....Bears have a bye this week. Hey, finally one week you wont lose. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dance.gif I have faith in my Brownies. Their going to beat Tampa!! Ohhh.... your right! Get the next question ready!!
Hey, You have a great day! If things keep up like you will know everything about me and you will still remain the mystery man. I might have to beg for a bonus question from you. Have a good one!! ~~KIM

My, my the Brownies are starting to make a habit of losing, question at eleven.
To answer your question on working, I normally work somewhere between 7 and 10 ;)
Now on to your last post; you wrote about the pains in your throat, how annoying and awful that must be at the same time. I hope that get sbetter for you. I've read on this board similar problems with other people and wish for the best for you and all. Are you noticing any other problems, like your neck and arms? You even mentioned in an earlier post about a ticking, or was that a clicking sound in your neck that you used for running. How funny was that? I definitely dont' mean to make light of that at all since it sounds serious comiing from your neck. Has that continued?
I go back to my doctor next week and hope to be cleared out of this collar . He gave me all indications that I would be cleared out of it during the day and may have to only use it at night for bed. It's a mixed bag but I'm really looking forward to at least getting out during the day!
I gotta tell you that your craziest list was a howl-sliding under barbed wire fences? train trestles? wet t-shirt contest? With digits like that you shoulda won. Heck, even a blind judge(yesss) would've awarded you the victory. :D All in all, your dignity was worth far more I'm sure. Remember, second place is the first place loser!
Look at the time-it's quarter til eleven-Pumpkinheads lose again, crushed by Tampa Bay
How's soccer coming along for you? Are the kids done yet? Have you played yet? Honestly?
Ok, question time again, including your high school and or college and or adultish years what's the dumbest thing you've done while, shall we say, under the influence? (the t-shirt story no longer qualifies, unless that's the dumbest)
Take care, I look forward to hearing from you. Until then, keep smiling.

Duh..Ken,
Sorry about the late post. My computer monitor was broken and I just got it back.
Yes, my Brownies have been quite the losers. Were starting to resemble your team!! :) I think where we went wrong in that last game was getting off the bus! But hey, this is my week, I play Houston at home. Should be a victory for me, and a question for you!! I have a lot of catching up to do!!
I hope by now you have seen your doctor and are sitting there, reading this post, collar free!! I know your bummed about having to wear it to bed, but just having it off during the day is going to be great. I still had to sleep in it (my choice) a few weeks after removing it. By the end of the day I needed to put it back on and give my neck and back muscles a rest.
I take it your one of the lucky ones that doesn't have that annoying pressure in their throat. Luck you!! I shouldn't complain, it could be worse. I feel I'm doing great. I did have a bad day Tuesday. I don't know why? I had a lot of pain in the back of my head. I also had one of my arm tremors? I reached for something and my arm started shaking?? I'm hoping it was because it was late and I was tired. I had the same thing happen about a month or so ago.
Yes, I still have that ticking sound in my head. Only when I run. With the ticking, and the voices, its pretty noise in here!! :D I don't know how I function!!
On to your question. What is the dumbest thing I have done while under the influence? Ohh... let's see. Should I tell you about the time I tried to out run a police officer and spent a night in jail, or the one night (just out of curiosity) stand with this girl I meet at a bar, or how about the summer I spent on a farm, you already heard the story about the wet t-shirt, and I'll never forget, although most of its a blur, spring break in Florida. But I said to myself this is Ken, he works 7-10 (wink-wink) hard hours a day. He's would much rather hear a responsible answer. So, I am going with..Every time I got into a car with someone who has been drinking. I would have too say, was the dumbest thing I have ever done!! That and the wet t-shirt contest! :D
Have I played soccer yet? Honestly? Yesss!! I played my first almost full game last Sunday. I watched the first quarter to see how controlled the other team was, and went in the last three. I have to say I felt like I played pretty well. A couple of times I let the ball get ahead of me but for the most part did ok. I had a few good runs with the ball. Had a nice run with a guy on the team we did a few wall passes back and forth but his last pass to me was a little long and the goalie beat me to it. I had a nice shot on goal about 12 yards out. Went for left corner but missed by a few inches. All in all a great game but we lost 2-1. But hey, I'm back!!! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dance.gif
Kids year was really fun. I really started to get into this coaching thing. Have some funny stories about my sons team. Will love to share in my next post.
You have a Great day!! Keep Smiling!! ~~KIM

Duhhh....Loser,
The Lions? You lost to the Lions? Are you kidding me!!!! The Lions? I thought they were a semi-pro team. I don't know if you seen this but I read that Cincinnati is trying to add Chicago to their schedule. They would like to play a team even THEY could beat!! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dance.gif
Its about time I finally get to ask you a question!! Oh wait, how rude of me. I'm sorry about your loss. You team played a really good game. Better luck next time!! :D
Question time!! Oh...what to ask, what to ask?? Lets see? I already know your shoe size (an impressive 12). I don't think there is really anything else I need to know?? Just kidden!! Ok..I would like to see how you would have answered your first set of tough questions. So I am asking you the same. What are you most proud of having done in your life, and what are you most disappointed or not so proud of? Good luck!!
So, are you out of the nugget supporter yet? If so how's it feel to have a little freedom back? It take a long time for the neck muscles to come back. I was shocked at how long it is taking. I'm having a so-so day today with mine. A little stiff. I'm also having some pressure in my throat. When will it ever get better??
Might be because I played my first full game of soccer yesterday. We play a really tough team. The first half I never touched the ball. The second half I had a lot of action. I was playing left midfield and forward. Had a lot of good runs with the ball and about 3-4 shots on goal. Did I score??? Noooo!! But I did shoot with my left and was proud of that. I have really been working on my left and its starting to show!! I cant believe I sat out for 7 months! I'm so glad to be back!!
I start indoor tonight. I'm going to be playing with the girls tonight!! It should be a lot of fun. If the evening ends with all of us in the hot tub I promise I will give you the details!! Have a Good One!! ~~Fist place loser!!

I start indoor tonight. I'm going to be playing with the girls tonight!! It should be a lot of fun. If the evening ends with all of us in the hot tub I promise I will give you the details!! Have a Good One!! ~~Fist place loser!!

Ken,
Are you having a tough time?? Those questions were a lot easier to ask then they were to answer.
Sorry! No hot tub story to share. We all were invited, but being a school/work night everyone turned it down. :( Had a good time last night. My first night back on indoors. We were short two women but still managed to pull off a good workout. Tomorrow should be even more fun. Its a coed night with a bunch of good friends. Competitive friends!
Now Friday, I'm a little nervous about playing. We play on an indoor field about half the size of a outdoor field. With the walls, and balls bouncing from anywhere, I'm a little worried I might take one in the head. Really what I am worried about is me. I play to competitively and have a hard time pulling back. I'm stupid enough to step in front of someone's shot. That's why I have a sore knee right now. In Sundays game I stepped in font of a shot and the guy took out my knee. But hey, we got the ball!! :D
Well Ken, hope to hear from you soon. I hope you will be posting that you are collar free!! Are you going to have any PT? If so, I'm a bit curious, I would like to hear what they do to you seeing that I didn't get any. Have a good one!! ~~KIM

Sorry about the delay in getting back to you. I did read your post and spent a great deal of time thinking of a response so I may or may not get to it in this post. Don't think that's a cop out, I'm just being honest. I never realized how tough of a first question I asked. Man, I'm brilliant!
Yesterday I went back to the doctor and I have been cleared out of my collar during the day only. I still have to wear it to bed for at least 2-4 more weeks. But hey, during the day, Ken will play!!!
It feels great to be out of it, although I had been taking it off more and more for longer periods of time. A couple times I did put it back on cause I noticed some fatigue and felt like I could use it after awhile. I must have developed a sortof dependency to it. :D I went out with a couple of close friends and we toasted to a rebirth of freedom. It was a wonderful night indeed.
I hope everything is going as well with you, although with each new post, it sounds like youre doing better and better. Soccer, outdoors, indoors??? She shoots, she scores!!! And to think after the summer and fall soccer you'd slow down, nooooooooooo, sounds like youre gonna be playing even more now. Just please, please, take it easy, we don't want you reinjured at all after what youve been through.
Too bad on the hot tub, soccer girls in the tub on a COLD night ;) woulda, coulda been a, let's say, stimulating experience. I have a hot tub that could always be used for soccer rehab, the house specialty being feminine rehab. ;) Two winkies in one paragraph, I gotta go...
I will continue to think of your question and get back to you soon, until then....Keep Smiling!

Wild Ken,
Can Ken come out and play?? :D Congratulations!! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dance.gif Freedom during the day is better then nothing. Good for you!!
Now the fun begins. Rebuilding those neck muscles. I'm still amazed at how long it's taking mine to fully come back. I wonder if physical therapy would have made a difference?? Are you going to have PT? If so when will you start? I didn't see the point in waiting 2 months after my neck brace came off to start PT. Oh well!??
How about your hands? Are your fingers still tingling? ( If they start to vibrate can you give me a call? ;) ) Hope all that's improving for you!!
Well, I am very excited for you! Or am I just cold? Congratulations again Ken!! :round: Have a great night!! ~~KIM

It's always a pleasure to hear from you, as always. I'm glad your soccer, I mean, rehab is going so well for you. Three days a week??? Yikes! Seriously, though, I wish you the best in recovery and beyond and please, for now anyways, no diving headers. :nono:
Ok, I'll try my best to answer your question. Like it's only taken a week to post back. I've thought of all the things I've done in my life-partnering a business that has been very fulfilling, college, years of playing various sports, traveling...and I have come to the same conclusion as yourself, I am most proud of being a husband and a father(although you didn't say you were proud of being a husband and a father), my life would seem much emptier if I had to envision it without those three people that I've shared so much with. The smiles and love that I get from my family are worth all the work and yes, sometimes, headaches that I seem to get.
Least proud of? Man, who came up with these questions? Probably one night, early in college I went streaking :D with a few friends(mixed & with mixed enhancers) and got busted and taken to jail. The ride there was a howl but having to call my parents and explain to them what happened was not. I guess if it had just been around college dorms that would have been one thing but it was through parts of a neighborhood and someone called in complaining their kids had seen. Being a father now I wouldn't appreciate our lack of discretion but it sure was fun at the time.
That's all for now. I just hope the Bears win cause 1)it's been way too long since their last win and 2)I'm not sure I can take another of my, I mean, your questions. Good luck at soccer! Until next time, keep smiling!

Ken,
Hey Ken, get your head out of that hole and answer my next question! Although losing to the Lions last week and now losing to the Vikings! Ouch!! I don't expect you to show face for a while!! :D
Ready? Ok.. Next question: How would people describe you as a person? I want your good qualities, and most important your bad qualities! I was going to ask you about your most embarrassing moment, but that was already answered in these last 5 weeks, claiming to be a Bears fan!! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dance.gif
Well, its been a week now without the collar, how's things feeling? Are you still wearing your collar to bed? If not, what do you wear to bed?? :p Just kidding! How are your neck muscles adjusting to no collar? It takes awhile. How does it feel to finally get to move your neck again? I did that total torso funky move for awhile! People would ask if I had a stiff neck. I didn't even realize that I was doing it. :)
Well, I got my a$$ up out of bed http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/yawn.gif and ran that 5K race. I dont know how I did it on 2-3 hours sleep but I did. I ran it in 27:27. A 9 min. mile. Not bad about middle of pack in my age group. Good thing is that I did the race and finished. Although running can be a little boring! I say if there is no soccer ball at the end of my feet, and no goal to shoot on what's the point in running!!
We had a soccer game later that day. Played horrible!! Team was a little aggressive. Got knocked down a lot. It was more like dodge ball then soccer. I took a good blow at the end of the game and said that was enough for me! Sub!! Smart move on my part! Then it was off to trick-or-treating with the kids. Needless to say my body is killing me today. I have soccer tonight with the women. It better end in the hot, hot tub!! I know, I know you'll want details!
Well, I will let you go for now! You have a great day!! ~~ KIM
Ps: Loved your answers to the last question. I was a little worried on how you would take the wet t-shirt story but after hearing about you streaking....... I feel much better now!! :D

Ok, where, oh where do I start? Yes, I know the Bears have lost again and everyone is wondering where the wheels came off on this ship. I hate to make excuses but they've had so many injuries this year they'll never duplicate last year's success. :( I might have to adopt a second team, hey, maybe I'll just root for your Pumpkin Heads the rest of the way since they at least have a shot. We can keep our bet going, but I'll throw my support behind your team each week although there are still some questions I'd like to ask. ;)
On to your question-Describe me as a person or how would other people describe me as a person. I guess you'd have to ask them. Just kidding. I imagine they would say generous and funny with a wit to cut a tree with so watch out. :D My not so good qualities, I like the Bears...did I say that? I mean probably impatience at times, you've heard it before I'm sure, I am one of those people who want things done yesterday and enjoy an order to things, preparation. Please spare the H on that one.
I feel remarkably great without the collar during the day. I have been fatigued at times and have had to rest since I felt a little anxious like I couldn't keep my head up any longer but a short break seems to do the trick. Yes, I still wear the collar to bed, that's me, all in my natural with a nice plastic collar. I'm thinking as a tribute to say goodbye to it and just for old times sake-STREAKING IN MY COLLAR-how funny would that be?
You scored a goal in your first indoor game back? CONGRATULATIONS!!! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dance.gif How was the experience? And it sounds like you guys smoked em, Is it the same indoor team as your outdoor team?
5K in 27minutes? You are incredible and an inspiration to everyone. I think it's remarkable youre doing so well in your recovery. Must go for now, until next time Keep Smiling!

Poor Ken,
Sorry!! Smack talking is what I do best. I hope its not too much for ya? But come on, Duh...Bears, they are a smack talking dream!! :D And the way their looking, I'm gonna have to toss you a bone-us question at the end of this post.
Glad to hear you're doing great without the collar! Its gonna take a few weeks before you can make it through a day without a break. I'm still having bad days here and there. How much longer until your totally oh, naturale at night? That was a scary move, sleeping with no collar. I was worried I would hurt myself in my sleep.
I can see ya now...streaking through a field wearing only a collar. That would be hilarious Hey, Duhh...Bears are home this week. You should streak through the field at half time. Cuz ya know by half time all the fans would have left already, so no one you know would see ya, and you wont be an emBARRASSment to your family!! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/redface.gif Oh...wait...forget it. You'll make the news. Then all would see. Although that would be a plus for me, I'll get to see if you were telling the truth about your shoe size!! ;)
Soccer, soccer, soccer.....Yes, my indoor team is made up of players from the outdoor team. We didn't bring the whole team. Just a select few. We have 6 girls and 7 guys. We play 7 on field. Its a lot of fun. Fast, very fast. We have a game this Friday against a really good team. We should get our a$$ kicked! :( We know some of the players on this team so that should help to make it a fun a$$ whooping!! Hey, all I know is I'm scoring!! One good thing about this neck injury is I get to play forward or midfield. No defense for me. :nono: They feel its to dangerous. Fine with me!!
Tell me more about your job. You said you are a partner? Good for you! How many partners are their? Did you design any thing I might have heard of??
Bone-us Question: ( Get this right and you can ask me any question! ) What do you get when you breed a groundhog and a Chicago bears football Player?
Have a good one!!! ~~KIM

Ken,
Ok, we are both the big losers today! How about we both get one question. You can have two if you can answer the question in my last post. You can ask the question first. You do remember how to do this, right? I mean, 6 weeks without a win.
Now that your brace free, are you starting PT? Where you cleared for good from your doctor or will you be going back for one last visit?
Well, I was right, we lost our soccer game on Friday. I believe the score was 8-3? Have to blame this loss on the men. The women stepped up and played a great game, the men just weren't there. We had 2 of our women get injured, Susie Q & Wounded Knee. Both hurt their ankles. We hope they will be back.
I played a little too aggressive. I lost my cool with this guy on their team. He got to me. He would knock into you hard, he checked me into the wall one to many times, couldn't keep his hands down. Well....he knocked me into the wall again, and I knocked him back. Then I had the brilliant idea to try a slid tackle (on indoor turf  ) and got called for my first indoor foul! :nono: I'm so not proud of myself. Not only did he get the ball, but I got my knee cap scraped off, and a sore neck!! Had a few good shots on goal, but... no goal for me. :( I play tonight with the women. :)
Oh..well, you have a great day!! I look forward to your next question. ~~KIM

Can I officially give up on the Bears for the year? Wow, the wheels have completely fallen off this wagon. The bad thing is that I actually rooted for your Brownies this week and they lost! Sorry for bringing the wrong kind of luck to your team. But hey, I get to ask a question.
To answer your bone-us question I would say a groundhog and a Bear, if the Bear sees his shadow six more weeks of losing, thats my guess. And now on to your question-
If you could be anyone or anything different(an idea, an animal, whatever) what or who would it be and why?
Sorry to hear about your team this past week. Sounds like a rough game especially from your end. Do the guys always play that rough or is it just certain guys on certain teams? What's up with the guys on your team? How are you still holding up with all the activity that youre doing?
I am officially cleared out of my collar, even at night!! I am so pleased about that and I have started doing some exercises to help with the muscles in my neck and shoulders. I returned to weight training for my lower body and have gone to light weights on my upper body to try to maintain that until I can throw myself back into my regular fitness routine.
Until next time, Keep Smiling!

Great to hear from ha!! I am having a really bad day/week/life and needed the pick me up!! Try not to wait 6 days in-between I might (know) need you again really soon!!
Did you minor in Psychology? Good question!! Give me some time on this one.
You were right on the bone-us question. 6 more weeks of bad football!! Good job! Another question for you!! Hey, thanks for rooting for the Brownies! Did you tune in during the second quarter? That's about when they fell apart!! I really thought Duh...Bears were going to win one. They were winning for most of their game, but lost it in the end.
So you started weight training? I have been waiting on starting that. I was pretty into lifting before my surgery. Mostly my upper legs, trying to avoid a knee injury with soccer. Was thinking about starting on the lower body but wasn't sure if it would be to soon. How do you feel afterwards? Did you get the Ok from your doctor to start this? Like I'm one to talk!! Doesn't it feel Great to finally be doing something/anything again! Keep it up!!
Rough game, but fun none the less. With almost every team you will find a guy or two that will be a little on the rough side. I personally like when the guy's play a little rough, it gives me attitude, makes me try harder.
The guys on my team? We don't have anyone on our team that I would say play's rough. There are 8 men on the team. I will try to describe each of them. First off, let me tell you about our jerseys. We have Labatt's Beer shirts. Donated by a guy on our team who works for a beverage distributor. Our numbers on the back are blood alcohol levels. :D We believe in sending that positive message to all the kids in the stands watching! By the way I am #.33, legally dead!! :)
Ok..onto the men. #.06 Dean, terrific guy making a come back from brain cancer. Scored goal in first game back, an inspiration to us all!! A little over 1 year since his brain surgery. #.20 Sam, I will never make a game because I am always hurt, #.08 Kevin,(beer guy!!) Our sticky finger Goalie, # DD (designated driver) Go to the damn ball, Robert!, #.15 Ed, he's never quite sure who's team he is playing for, #.16 Mike, he keeps going...and going...and going, and #.09 Gary (husband), fast and furious!
Well, there you have it, my team in a nut shell. I will think of another question for you in my next post. Have a good one!! ~~KIM

Good to hear you have to put some thought into this question. Ok, so maybe it won't be nearly as stimuating as a tshirt story but hey, it allows some creativity.
Hope your neck is getting better and better. Please try to stay off the boards indoor. Sounds like every game gives you the potential for injury.
Good luck this week, let me know how you guys do. 1-1 so far right? Great idea for jersey numbers but what's the scoop with hubby wearing the striker number indoor? Wasn't there someone else wearing that outdoors?
Again, best of luck this week and I wish you the best in continued recovery. Until next time, Keep Smiling!

Ken,
Ok...I stalled long enough on this question. I had a hard time picking just one answer. First, I was coming up with silly answers like, a lollypop in the hands of Ben Afflleck http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/love1.gif , or Clint Oris the inventor of the (((((((vibrator))))))). Do you suppose he heard a voice that said " If you build it, they will come?" :D (ok, bad joke!) Ooooh, how about whoever is on the arm of Halle Berry http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/wow.gif Wow, talk about your one track mind!
Then I thought I've always said if I had one wish I would wish for a great singing voice. I love to sing! One of these days I hope to get up enough nerve to sing at a Karaoke night. That's going to take a lot of happy pills & enhancers!!
Ok, onto the answer. If I could be anyone or anything what would I be? I would be a Time Traveler. I wish I was able to go back in time. There are events in my life I would love to relive now that I am old enough to appreciate them. Example: I would have spent more time with my Grandparents. Asking lots of questions about their lives. How they lived and what they did for fun.
I would enjoy my kids as babies. Enjoying the midnight feedings and the sleepless nights, instead of wishing they were older and more independent. Relive all of their first's.Their first smile, word, step... They grow so fast.
There are events in my life I would love to relive over and over, times in my life I would skip altogether, and times so perfect that I wish time could stand still forever!!
So, there you have it. Man do you ask some tough questions. You still get to ask one more for correctly answering the bone-us question.
Ok, ready for your question? What is your fondest childhood memory??
Just got back from my soccer game. We won, I think 7-4. No, I didn't score but I had an assist. I tell my kids on the soccer team that an assist is just as good as a goal, but it sure doesn't feel that way! It should have been a goal for me but a guy on my team, #.15 Ed, took it from me. :D I feel I played a good game tonight. I had my share of shots on goal. I struck the ball well, just couldn't put it in.
Ok... I'm starting to think its me, but I managed to find the one guy on their team who was aggressive. I had a run in with him at the end of the game. We were playing a ball against wall (you know how much I love playing the wall) and he just kept wailing on my legs, and shoving me. So of course I'm shoving back I finally clear the ball and told him to cool it. He's mad and he's talking his smack about if I can't take it I shouldn't be playing soccer, blaaa.. blaaa.. blaaa.. The ball makes it way back to him and he kick high. He kicks me right in my chest, not with the ball, with his shoe! Now I'm mad, and gave him a "friendly" shove. :D He tried to come back after me, and my husband stopped him, and the guy was thrown out of the game. Bye-Bye
Oh, well, whatcha gonna do?
Its getting late, I'm gonna take my bloodied body up to bed. Boy do I have some ugly looking knees!! I LOVE SOCCER!! You have a great night!! ~~ KIM

Hope to hear from you soon. I having another "wonderful" day and could really use the pick me up! Make me smile! I dare ya! :)
Sorry about another loss for Duhh..Bears, especially with it being a questionable ending! Oh..well, another question for me.
Sorry my last question got to you so late, but if your questions weren't so tough to answer......excuses, excuses...I'm starting to sound like a Bears fan!! :D
Ok, next question. What would you consider a GREAT day?
I look forward to reading both of your answers. ~~KIM

Sorry to hear about your day. I hope things improve for you. I've had a few bad ones from time to time but I think about my life in whole, my family and my health and it helps to put things in perspective, all things considered.
One of my fondest childhood memories was definitely surfing as a youngster in Costa Rica with my dad and grandfather. The whole experience was very moving and beautiful. To enjoy my father and his dad, campfires on the beach, hikes in the mountains, rafting on streams and yes the SURF!
I loved it so much I've mad several trips back as an adult to enjoy the sun and surf. My wife and I have made a couple trips back without the kids and on a lighter note to hopefully bring a smile we were there on a trip enjoying each others company when we decided to visit a "secluded" beach. Since no one was around we decided to bare it. I fell asleep for a short time and needless to say, burned my bum. It hurt like he!! for a couple of days!!! Imagine just trying to sit or walk and the burning down under is killing you. We laugh about it now but at the time....
Well, enough for now. Until next time Keep Smiling !

Ken,
Sunbathing nude!!! You FREAK!! :D Love it!
Is it too late to change our bet? I would like to change it from windsurfing in Chicago to surfing in Costa Rico!! If it will help in the decision making I'll up the anti with "no tan lines"!!! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dance.gif
Very nice memory!! Did your Grandfather live in Costa Rico? I think that's great that you continue to go back and create great memories with your family! I can hear your grandkids now....
When was the last time you went surfing?? Surfing and water-skiing, two things I have never done but would LOVE to try. What am I waiting for Ken?? This new year is going to be my year! I'm making my list and doing all the things in life I put on hold. What the heck, you only live once, right!
How's the weight training going? I really want to hear how this is going. I would like to start it back up myself. Even with how active I remained through this whole ordeal, I still lost a lot of muscle tone. Mainly in the upper legs and stomach. I tried doing a few sit ups the other day and that's really hard on the neck. I know with playing soccer 3 times a week and running I can gain some back but I know weights would help.
Now that you are collar free, have you noticed any pressure in the throat area? I am still having problems with that. Today was a bad day. I keep clearing my throat like something is there but there's nothing. It really drives me, and people around me, crazy!
Well Ken you have a great day! I look forward to your answer to my last question and don't forget you still have to ask me one. Have a good one!! ~~KIM
PS. next time pack the sunscreen! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/cool.gif

Ok, I'm back on here for just a short time. I've been thinking of the question you asked me and I'm pretty sure that I owe you one as well, so here goes: What is your best attribute?
I'll be looking forward to the Bears Monday Night game tomorrow against the Rams. I seen your Brownies won today versus the Bengals! Congrats on that one, at least one of our teams is doing better.
Great news to hear about your indoor season. I always love a good soccer story. Keep me updated as to your progress and I'm wishing you always the best in recovery and rest of your lifetime of better times.
Until next time, Keep Smiling!

Ken,
Hello! Good luck tonight with Duh..Bears. Hope to see we both end up with a win.
Good question. I will be playing soccer with the girls tonight and will ask them what they feel is my best attribute. Although, they are a pretty honest group of girls and I hope the answer wont hurt to much! :) I have my own idea but it will be interesting to hear theirs.I will let you know tonight.
My soccer team won again this past Friday. We played a pretty good team and really thought they would take this one, but we managed to pull off a 5-3 win. I didn't have one of my better games. Other then an assist, right at the beginning of the game for the first goal, I had a pretty uneventful night. My neck was really bothering that day. I had a lot of burning in the back of my head. I feel like I'm fighting to keep my head back. I want to look down all the time?? I almost considered not playing. It was that bad!! :D I was also having trouble with my left foot. Its dragging a little.I had the same problem on Wednesday night. Oh well, we'll see how it goes tonight. Blaaa..Blaaa...Blaaa.. Whaaa..Whaaa Whaaa... I'll stop crying now!!
So, how has things been for you? Are the weights still working out for you? Have you added anything new to your workout? Talk to me Ken tell me how things are going.
I will get back to you with an answer to your last question. Good Luck again tonight. Have a Great Day!! ~~KIM

I'll be waiting for your response with baited breath, or maybe just having a plate of salmon.(get it, bait-ed breath?) You know me, the question probably should have been a two parter with the second part being what is your worst trait? Answer if you like, if not I understand.
Congratulations on your win this past week, sounds like it was a good game all in all. You know I was thinking that maybe your neck pains and your dragging foot might be signs that your body would like you to slow down just a bit. Just a thought. Keep me updated on your soccer and your progress.
I have restarted my weight training. Right now I am doing very light weights and working on building up my reps. I have to be very careful with anything that puts strains on my upper back and neck so I go very light with pull downs and various bicep and tricep exercises. I haven't felt quite strong enough to do anything more than an elliptical trainer which takes all the pounding away that you would experience with running. It's probably comparable in that regard to when you were riding you bike.
Take it easy tonight and drop me a line. Until next time, Keep Smiling!!!

I love how you so delicately said that maybe my body might want to slow down. :D LOL You know me so well. HE!! NO! I cant slow down now, I just got warmed up!! I'm kidding! I will take your thoughts into concideration tonight as I am lacing up my soccer shoes. No seriously now, thanks for your concerns. I had the same thoughts myself. Its so hard to pull back. I missed moving so much! I dont want to stop now.
I dont mind the two parter question. Will answer them both tonight. Good luck again. ~~KIM

Fishy Ken,
Hello! Just got back from getting hot and sweaty with the girls! Was a pretty fun night. Managed to save the knees from the indoor turf but in the process I lost half a toenail. Boy, I just sound more attractive every time I post.
We were all invited back to Suzy-Q hot, hot tub. I'll let you fill in the rest!
Well, I asked the girls your questions and got a lot of really nice answers. :) They said that they really couldn't pick just one as my best attribute so here is their list. My great sense of humor and quick wit were at the top of the list. Followed by, a beautiful smile, very outgoing, willing to try anything, fun, loving, caring, crazy, can get any party going, comforting, and approachable can get anyone to talk to me. Thanks for such a great question. Their answers really picked me up and I needed that!!!!
Ok, now for the second part. They didn't have any trouble with this answer either. :( What is my worst trait? They say I'm too self critical. I don't complement myself enough. I'm quick to say what I do wrong instead of what I do right.
They were dead on. I had both sense of humor and self critical as my answers. They know me well.
Just check out the football game. Your down by 8 points. Ouch! Come on Bears!! Maybe they will turn this game around!! Maybe I better start thinking of your next question!! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dance.gif
Sounds like your doing well with the weights.Do you workout at home or at a gym? What do you wear while working out? How sweaty do you get?? Do you need someone to spot for you? :D Ok.. sorry!! Couldn't help myself!
Well, I am going to call it a night! Hope you have a good one!! I will post my question to you tomorrow, unless Duh....Bears pull this one out of their as...... :D ~~SMACK TALKIN' KIMMY!!!

Good morning Ken!!
Sorry about the late reply. We had a touch of the flu. Of course we couldn't all get it on the same day, we had to spread it out throughout the entire week. I think I averaged 2 hours sleep a night. The good news is they are all healthy again, and more important, back to school!! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dance.gif
Ok... what the heck happened to Duh....Bears? I think they now hold the record for the longest losing streak!! Oh well, another question for me!! I really enjoyed your last question so much that I am going to ask you the same. Sorry, not very creative on my end but I really enjoyed this question! I hope, and I'm sure you will, hear the same wonderful thing said about you!! It was really great to hear and was a great pick me up!! So, let me hear it. What is your greatest attribute and your worst trait?
I hope all is going well and you stay healthy!! Have a good one!! ~~ KIM

WE WIN !!! Wow, its been sometime since I've had the chance to say that! It took overtime but Da Bears finally got the job done. I just got back from a local place watching the game with some friends and decided now was just as good a time as any to write back with an answer to your question and think about what my next one will be.
I took the chance and ran it by the guys as to my best attributes and needless to say, guys are a little more crude than women. So, I'm throwing out their answers and going with my wife's answers-I mean who would really know me better? She said my smile and sense of humor. Are those 'best attributes'? My worst would have to be my impatience and, like yourself, my self critique. I always feel like I could've done something better or not as well as others perceive. Who keeps coming up with these hard questions? :D
I've been here the whole time, just been busy, but keep in mind that I stop in once in awhile to see if you've dropped me a line. I look forward to hearing from you. How did you do this week? Did you have a game? Any goals? Gotta go for now and I'll be posting your question shortly. Hope your neck is doing better and better. Until next time, Keep Smiling!

Smilee Ken,
I bet your smilin' now!! DUH...BEARS WON!! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dance.gif
Oh man, come on now, you know me, I want to hear the crude answers!! I can only imagine what a group of guys would say are your best attributes! I bet it was hilarious!
I look forward to your question. Do I get one? My Brownies had a win too! Ok, smart as$. I got the hint!! I will think of one of my own hard to answer question! :D Its just that your question was nice to hear and I thought you would enjoy as much as I! I should go back and ask all the guys on my team that last question and see if I can get some crude answers! :)
Let me update you on my soccer team. We lost Friday!! :( We played a pretty good team. I cant remember the score, 4-2 ?? We could have beat this team but my team as a whole didn't have that great of a game. We kept clustering together, and did more chasing then anything. They were a lot faster then us and they had some really good women. Well, we think they were women?? So that puts us in 4th place with 3 more games to go. Next game should be our toughest but the last two should be a piece of cake! :nono: No goal for me! :( I had 2 nice shots on goal, one was a penalty kick the other was at the end of game but that's about all. I'll do better next time!!
Hey, you better get back to work! Your setting a bad example for the other employees!!Have a good one!! ~~KIM

Sorry to hear about your game this weekend. Fourth place? Hopefully it will improve from here on out.
How is your neck feeling? Have you slowed down just a bit to let the rest of you catch up with your drive? Let's see, tonight is Monday which means soccer with the girls!!! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dance.gif
Ok, enough kidding aside. Let me reach into my bag of questions and find one just right for the moment-ah, here's one, where's the weirdest place and where's the one place you haven't but wish you could? The ending of that question is implied and I'll leave it at that. Looking forward to hearing your answer on this one.
Take care and stay off the boards, but if you're going into the boards put those elbows UP, UGGHHH! :D
Until next time, Keep Smiling!

Ken,
Hello, got your question and I am a little confused. You said the end of that question is implied? What are you trying to imply? Weirdest place? One place you wish you could? I don't get it?? Haven't what?? I am so lost! Help me here! Just kidding!! Love it! Now that's a question!
Man, I swear I was going to ask you this same question!! I know you don't believe me but I was!! I'm serious!! Well something like it! Dang it, you beat me to it! Now I'll have to change mine around a little and say.......Have you ever been caught in the act? If so, I want details!! Example: Where, when, and were you alone http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dizzy.gif, with a partner http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/wow.gif, or with barnyard animals??!! Hey, you started it!!
This is going to require some serious thinking. Just when I think I have the weirdest place thought of I think of another, and another!!
Yes, you were right, it was Girls Soccer Night! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dance.gif I just got back. Had a lot of fun. We were short a few, due to the flu, so we played 3 on 3. Great workout!! In fact I'm sitting here, all sweaty, about to head upstairs now to take a hot shower. Hey, wait, shower...nope been there done that! Move on to the next wish I could location! :D
You have a Great Night!! I will have a lot of fun answering this one!! ~~KIM

Ken,
Good morning!! How was you Turkey Day? Mine was nice and quiet. I spent it here at home with my family. I made one enormous bird with all the fixings. We should be able to eat leftovers for another week. After dinner we put up our Christmas tree. Today should be a lazy day we might catch a movie, Harry Potter. What I would love to do this weekend is call all of our friends and play a pick-up game of football. Right now its cold and we have snow! How perfect is that!! It would be a blast!! Burn off some of that pie I ate! :D
Hey, guess what today is??? Nov. 29th! My 6 month mark!!! ! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dance.gif I am now officially back to life. No more taking it easy!! :) Do you think it would be safe for me to start doing headers?? Just kidding! I'll wait another week or so before I start doing that!
On to your questions. Where is the weirdest place and the one place I wish I could. The first part of this question reminded me of an old episode of The Newlywed Game. The same question was asked and one of the girls said " That would be in the butt, Bob!" Weird???Still makes me laugh!
Ok, Weirdest place? I had a few, sex in public place, major turn on! I will have to go with..... In a large refrigerator/freezer ( you know where the keep the beer and pop) at a gas station where I worked. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/wow.gif And now your saying to yourself, oh... my... gosh... she worked at a gas station??? Hey, I was working my way thought school! Man, I tell you, I just sound better with ever post! I probably caught Sam's interest again!
One place I haven't but wish I could? On a windsurfing board in......Ohhhh, I mean, on the lap of Ben Afflleck!! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/love1.gifYummy!! Yes that would be perfect!
Ok..ok... I would have to say, gosh, I can think of a million places, anywhere tropical. Maybe Hawaii on some rocks under a waterfall, on a deserted island. Or how about in a field of twolips in Holland. Ok those were some really girly answers! Sorry! I'm gonna change it to, under the stars camping in Arizona, deep in side the Grand Canyon. Uhhh..hello! Yes, I would involve the donkeys!! Never a serious moment with me!
Well Ken, I hope you enjoy your long weekend off!! Post soon! I cant wait to hear your answer! I have my next question all ready to go, just waiting for the win!! Good Luck! Have a good one!! ~~KIM

I guess all I can simply say is congratulations on your six month mark!!! You sound remarkable. I don't think anyone had any doubt you would make it this far and be doing as well as you are. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dance.gif
Your last post was a total howl. I put the old brace back on just so I could bust out of the velcro again. :D Only one word to describe your post-Loved It. Man, you sound like a winner, scabby kneed polish bowler that worked in a gas station and got lit and entered wet tshirt contests? Not that there's anything wrong with that. Seriously, who cares about that stuff, it makes up who you are and is a blast to reminisce about.
The places you posted were outstanding, well, except for Ben Affleck's whatever or else...I love the warm weather and tropics, just brings out a total carefree attitude. Not that I don't like the snow and cold, cause I do, but given my choice for a vacation or extended vacation, I'll head south, where it's HOT, HOT, HOT.
Sounds like you had a nice and quiet Thanksgiving with the family. Outstanding. We went out of town to visit family and had a surprisingly good time. There were plenty of stories to tell and laughs but I'm glad I'm home. Now to start working off those extra pounds ;)
As for this weekend, I hate Brett Favre, I'll say it again. Too bad, your Brownies lost, who knows maybe one of our teams might have made the playoffs. But giving you the benefit of the doubt, I'll let you ask the next question.
Hope your doing better and getting stronger everyday. I'm heading out to watch a little of the Monday Nighter. Until next time, Keep Smiling!!!

Carefree Ken!, ( I need to get you somewhere HOT, HOT, HOT! )
Thanks for the Congrats!! Your words were very sweet! I am proud of myself. The whole ordeal was very hard, physically and emotionally.I tried to be positive and upbeat through the whole darn thing but it was tough!! The toughest test was at soccer games!! Watching life from the sidelines sucks!! Somehow I made it through!! I cant/wont take all the credit, I had a lot of help from a friend. Thank God for Great Friends!! And I mean the really good ones that are there for you no mater what your mood is!!. They love you when your happy and love you harder when your sad!!
How was the Monday Nighter with the guys?? Brett Farve Rocks!! Wooo..Hooo!!! Hey, isn't he that cute MVP??? Oops...did I say that out loud!! :D Do you have a close group of friends you hang out with? If so I would love to hear about them. Describe them like I did my team. Do any of them have a larger shoe size then you?? Oops... did I say that out loud too? Man, I'm developing a bad habit!
Have you thought of what your going to do with your brace? I have an idea for mine. I might take care of it today. I will tell you about it after the fact. Don't hold your breath or anything. Its not going to involve streaking or hot tubs!! But it is something that means a lot to me.
Hey, you never answered my last question! Are you on some kind of probation? Are you forbidden to tell, or discuses your pending legal predicament??? Are you protecting the rights of others involved??
Ready for my next question? Are you ready yet? Ready...ready....are you ready... ready......How long after your surgery did it take you to "get back in the saddle"? Wink-wink!! Ohhhhh.....the visual!! :)
Well, my love, you better get back to work. I hope your setting a good example for your employees and only check this message board on your lunch hour. Cant wait for your response so make it a quickie!! Have a good one!!~~Your, Polish, trash talking, soccer playing, scrapped kneed, gas station worker, who can't turn down a good time, Uhh.. Yes I'll have another beer, where's the beer bong, wet tshirt contest loser, "Love It", winner of a friend!!~~KIM

Brett Farve,
Hello!! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/love1.gif First off let me say that I am your BIGGEST fan!! I never miss a game! Especially when you are playing Duhhh...Bears! I mean come on, you crush them, game, after game, after game, after game, after game, and they still keep coming back for more! Pathetic, I mean enough already.........Hey wait......Oops! Wrong message board! I thought this was the Brett Farve fan club........sorry!! :)
Ken,
How's thing going? Hey, how's Duhh..Bears doing this year? Really! How's the neck? Good to Hear! :D
Oh..having a little fun, sorry! I hope your doing well! You better be working on my last questions! I want them on my desk by the end of the work day!
I'm in a really stupid mood today! Bear with me! Your gonna need something a little stronger then Duhh....Bears! Weak man, weak! :D
I wanted to let you know what I did with my neck brace. While I was wearing the brace I would sometimes ( quite often) go to this park on days when I wanted to escape. I would sit under this tree off the beaten path and think, relax, eat lunch, watch the birds, just get away. So yesterday I took my brace up to the park and I climbed this tree and put the brace around a branch. I haven't climbed a tree in years! It was a lot of fun I don't know why I stopped!! :) Well anyways, I Velcro it really tight so I hope it will stay up there for awhile.
Do you remember that I use to put stickers all over my brace? Like: soccer balls for the game, baseballs when I went to a game, shells when I went to Florida, flowers when I wanted to feel pretty (yeah, like that could happen wearing that thing around my neck!) stuff like that. Before I stuck the brace up in the tree I put new stickers on it. On the brace now are stickers that tell a little story about me while I was in the brace. I put of course a soccer ball with my # on it, a jet ski sticker  , the date of my surgery, shells, flowers. and some other stuff that meant something to me! So there it sits, up in a tree. I would love for it to become a home for some animal maybe a little titmouse. Titmouse? Who names these birds?
Anyways stop reading this boring post and get cracking on your post back to me!! Have a GREAT one~~KIM

That's wonderful what you did with your brace. Congratulations! Did it feel different saying goodbye in that manner to your brace? What a neat idea and who knows, maybe a little(or a large) titmouse will find a home and be comfortable there. :D
I mean, they come in all sizes right?
I'm at a loss to remember what your question was. I really don't remember what it could be. I know the one question about getting back in the saddle and to answer that it would be about a week or two. As soon as I was confident that my head wasn't going to roll away if I moved http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dance.gif then it was on and back to business. I must admit my nervousness at first but at such a trying time, it really helped to be able to enjoy any aspect of normalcy again. At least that's what I told my wife. ;)
If there was another question I'm lost as to where it it. Help! I'm still thinking of what to do with mine. Maybe another waterskiing trip and ceremonial burial of my brace at the bottom of the sea is in order. YES!!! Followed by a return to the waves!
No update on the soccer this week? Hope your team is doing well and keep yourself out of harms way. Good luck this week on your game. Score one for me. Until then, Keep Smiling and Scoring!!!
~Ken~
P.S. Gotta go back to work for now. I also have a van to pay for. I just don't drive it.

Ken,
Very funny!! I would love for nothing more to go back and see that a little titmouse (you know a little more then a handful) has turn my neck brace into a nice cozy home. I just hope on those cold day the Velcro gives a little, titmouse's tend to get a little larger on really cold days! :D
Loved your answer! Very funny about your head rolling away! Tighten the Velcro honey! Its gonna be a rough ride!! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dance.gif Ok, Your last question was asked on 11-25. We both won that week. So I asked you if you were ever caught in the act? I want details! Example: Where, when, and were you alone, with a partner, or with barnyard animals?? Now do you understand the probation joke?. Forbidden to tell or discuss your pending legal predicament? Were you wondering what the heck I was talking about!!??
I love your idea for disposing of the brace! Need any help?? :D Another water-skiing trip?? You dog! That and surfing are going to be my new goals this year! I will do both this summer. Count on that!
Ok, I need to help your image of me. When I'm not toting the kids around I can be seen driving in a Jeep. Black, top down, tank top, and cut offs. Did that help any?
So....What do you drive? Are you a good driver? How long, on average, can you drive? Do you keep both hands on the wheel or do you like to play with the radio knobs? Is it stick shift? Do you switch gear smoothly? How do you feel about a women driving your car? Can you sit back and let her drive or do you feel the need to be in control?? :D
Have a Good One!! Post soon! ~~KIM

Smilin' Ken,
http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dance.gif GOOOOOOOOOOOAL! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dance.gif
We had a game Friday night and scored another goal! This was one of the tougher teams to play and we dominated in the first half ( 3-1) but fell apart in the second! We lost 3-6! Blame this loss on the defense. The second half we played to far back and would let them reach the goalie box before attacking. That's what a lack of subs will do to a team. We had only one sub for the girls and two for the men.
Oh well, I felt I play an ok game. I tried a few new foot moves I had been working on. Sometimes they worked, sometimes they didn't. Suzy-Q's (#.04) daughter taped the game for us. Were are going to get together and watch it. It always fun watching yourself on tape! You can watch your mistakes over, and over again!!! I can wait to see my new fancy foot work in action!! Sue is funny too, she holds nothing back. If you had a good game she lets you know, and her complements are great! If you had a bad game, she really lets you know every flaw you made! Love her honesty!!
In your last post you asked if felt different saying goodbye to my brace in that manner? I know it wasn't the "going out with a bang" like I had talked about but I like what I did with my brace. I spent a lot of time at this park. I had a lot to think about. There were huge changes going on in my life. One, the surgery. I had to deal with that and the whole reason why I had to have the surgery in the first place. Two, I had the scare with cancer. I'm still not out of the woods yet. I go to see my Oncologist on the 16th of this month. He is going to check all my lymph nodes again and run some more blood work. I wish I could walk in there and say they are all gone but there not. In fact I have a new one under my right arm, and I feel the ones in my groin area are a little bigger. And on top of all that I had my parents staying with us from Florida!!! No wonder I found myself under this tree a lot!
So, there I would sit, in my own little world, trying to figure out life! I went back the other day to see if the neck brace was still there. It was. :D It had snow on it and really looked neat. I was glad no one seen it yet. I would love for it to stay there forever. Sorry! Got a little sentimental on ya! Oh, just send me the dry cleaning bill. :D
I will let you get back to your day! Look forward to hearing from ya! I see my Brownies have just tied the game! Good luck tomorrow night! May the best team win!! Have a good one!! ~~KIM

Hey, it's great to be back here. Long time, no type. Your posts keep me laughing. Keep them coming.
Ok, I'll try to keep this short and sweet although I owe you more than that.
Let me go back to getting caught in the act. Well...........in college I did get caught a few times but mostly by friends and by accident I'm sure, yeah right. As far as embarrassing moments, no I wasn't caught anywhere I shouldn't have been even though there were many places I shouldn't have been. ;)
Your image has been improved tremendously with the tank top, shorts and a black jeep! top down? WOW http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/wow.gif
Congratulations on your GOAL!! even though it was in a losing cause. The guys have to start pulling their weight. That sounds like the second time they brought your team down. :( Good luck this week and I hope you stay healthy.
I'll be waiting for your quesiton as I go watch my Bears play tonight.
Until next time, Keep Smiling!

Ken,
Hey, I wouldn't destroy that neck brace just yet. Your gonna need it to help hold that head up on days when your sporting your Chicago Bears jersey!! :D OUCH!!
Another loss for you! :( So sorry!! With a record of 3-10, its amazing you found out anything about me at all!! I may just have to toss you a bone-us question. :) On with the next question. What do you find most attractive/appealing/sexy in a women? Better yet, what first attracts you, and what holds you and keeps you there?? If you say ties or handcuffs to the second half of that question, I would be very interested http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/wow.gif but not really the answer I had meant!!
I really enjoy reading your post too. Keep them coming! Short and sweet is nice. It lets me know your still there but long and naughty are nicer! I want more of you Ken...give me more! ;) Tell me more about you. Again, tell me about your friends, when you go out to watch Duh... Bears at the sports bar who's shoulder do you cry on when they lose, tell me about your partners in your business, what kind of car you drive, anything!!
So, how has you neck been? What a strange question if you think about it. Are you still lifting weight? Do you get any pain or burning at all in your neck? I just started lifting weights Monday. I just did my arms, back, and some ab's. I had soccer that night so I was saving my legs for later. It felt pretty good. I tried to keep the weights light but I kept adding more. Have you added anything else to your rehab? I have some sad news. I think were gonna lose the Girls soccer night! Two of the girls don't want to come back. It was to much for them. I hope we can replace them. It wasn't a very intense workout but it was a good opportunity to work on my left foot, and new foot skills. A group of guys meet up there after us. I know a lot of them. They always ask if I would stay and play. I might play with them every other week just to keep moving but I'm gonna miss the girls!! :(
Well, I will let go of you now but only if you promise to post!! :) Have a good one!! ~~KIM

Smilin' Ken,
Good Morning!! And Congratulations!! Duh...Bears won??? Really? (Ready for some more smack talk) Here it goes.....When we started this little game of ours we were both 2-1. So you have only been able to say "I won" twice in 2 ½ months!! Sad Ken...so sad!! Kidding!!
How the heck are you??? I hope all is well. I haven't heard from you in a while. I thought maybe you left town for the holiday. Do you have any big holiday plans?? What does Ken want for Christmas??
Hey, scored another goal Friday!! That 3 for me....but who's counting? I am.... I am!! :) I would have to say I had the best shot in my short soccer career. It was a direct kick from about 25-30 yards out. I decided to go for it and shoot on goal. I nailed this ball perfectly. It had just the right height and spin. Perfect!! The goalie wasn't expecting a shot on goal and he barely got his fingers on it. He did manage to stop the goal but I was pretty. One you dream about. Sorry, it would have been better story if it went in. :D
I'm waiting for my next question so make it a good one!! ~~ KIM

Congratulations on your GOOOAAALLL and your victory! You must've given the guys the night off since you won! :D Sounds like youre doing great. Keep up the good work ! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dance.gif
Wow, I looked at our posts and the days are just flying by. It must be the Christmas thing, with, you know all the shopping I'm doing and all. ;)
Okay, I know it's been awhile since I posted back and I'll try to get your question answered and ask one myself since your Brownies joined my Bares in the losing column.
What strikes me and keeps me with a woman? I would have to say the way she carries herself. Of course, a great smile and eyes help but a lady who can command a room without commanding anything. It's hard to describe but there you have it. It's probably not the answer you may have expected from me but it's the truth. I know many ladies who are "one of the guys" and they're fun and all but when it gets right down to it, the way she carries herself says it all.
Ok, my next question would have to be: I believe you said you were 35 (pardon me posting a ladies age) but where do you see yourself in 10 and then again in 20 years? Honestly? What do you envision you'll be doing or where will you be? What mountains do you want to climb or what valleys to discover? Will you have finally made the womens national team? Ok, so the last one is a little farfetched, even for someone as determined as you seem to be but you get the point.
A little about me, I drive a Mitsubishi Diamante that I tend to overdrive quite a bit. I love my car and have a good time on the road when my heavy feet aren't getting me in trouble. Another boring bit of news but hey, I can't entertain you all the time right? My wife drives a Chrysler Town & Country http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/yawn.gif minivan. The kids like it but they like my car just a little better. It's weird you said you drive a Jeep cause I love em, wish I had one, may just go get one. I'd probably roll it taking a corner at 50. Just my luck, survive swimming with the sharks only to be killed rolling a Jeep around the corner.
I'll try to get back to you on my buddies cause this post is getting wayyyy toooo long. But I think I owed you one since it's been a long time since I posted. Take care of your neck and good luck on scoring more goals. She shoots-She Scores! Until next time, Keep Smiling!

Ken,
Hello!! Sorry, I've been so busy with the Holiday and all. My parents are staying with me until the first. They live in Florida. So everything goes down at my house, which is nice, I have the room and I don't have drag my butt out in the cold! :D
I'm still thinking of an answer to your last question. I will post it this weekend. We have our last soccer game tonight so I might have a goal or two to brag about.
Buy the Jeep...Buy the Jeep...!!! It's funny that you said you would roll the sucker taking a sharp turn. I'm always telling my husband that, that's the whole reason for the roll bars!!! Your suppose to roll it!! He doesn't find that as funny as I do!

Ken,
Happy Holidays!! Had a little break in life and decided to pop in and say Hi!! Its been a little crazy around here. I have an average of 8 kids here at all times, plus 6 adults http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dizzy.gif Love the Holidays!! Thank God for those enhancers!!
She shoots....she scores!!! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dance.gif I had the first goal of the game Friday night!! Thank you...Thank you very much!! Put one in the net and had two assist! Over all probably my best night ever! I felt I gave all I had, even offered up the skin on my right knee and right palm. Just when they were starting to look good again! Some guy tripped me up and sent me sliding about 6 feet. I hate indoor turf!! We won 6-0. We ended this first session 5-3. Our next session starts Jan. 3. Most likely we wont play that night because its at the same time Ohio State plays.Go Bucks!! So we are going to have the game changed.
Man, you ask some of the toughest questions!! Where do I see myself in 10 years?? Lets see... that would put me at 45 (ouch!!) As if being 45 isn't bad enough, I will have a 15 year old daughter on top of that!! That's a very scary thought! She already full of attitude!! I cant imagine all that attitude with hormones??!!
Ok...Well, I'm sure I will still be playing soccer of course!! :D In the years ahead I plan on doing all the things I have wanted to do but had to put on hold because life got in the way. I plan on learning lots of new things. I want to learn to surf, ski, and scuba dive. Ohhh..I would love to rock climb and mountain bike. Now that the kids are older we are starting this year to take one family vacation and one selfish vacation each year. So in the next 10-20 year's I see myself exploring the word. In 20 years I hope to be a Grandma. I would love to have lots of grandkids to spoil!!
Well, I see my Brownies pulled off another win!! Love those come from behind (wink-wink) wins!! Love it!! One more question for me!!
OOUUCCHH....I see Duh......Bears lost again! Well at least their consistent! :)
Ok, question time. I'm going to ask a "Ken" question. Ready...have fun. What is the most wonderful thing that has ever happened to you and what was the worst??
I would love to hear from you before Christmas but if I don't I wish you a Very Merry Christmas!! I hope Santa brings you every thing you wished for!! Enjoy the Holiday!! Your Friend!! ~~KIM
PS. My Christmas list included a windsurfing board...you know for my upcoming trip to Chicago!! :D Have a Good One!

Happy New Year to you!! Well, let me add, Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanzaa(???), Hanukkah(???) not sure on the spelling of those, Feliz Navidad, bon apetit...you get the picture. I am so sorry it has taken so long to get back to you. The holidays were wonderful and busy and wonderfully busy. I hope everything went well with yours. Not too many enhancers I hope.
Ok, let me try to catch up with you. How are you? How is your neck doing with the cold weather we're having? How is your soccer going? Scoring any goals lately? If two trains left each coast at 5am..forget that one. How are your children? Did you and your family enjoy the holidays? Do you have any idea where your family and your selfish vacation will be this year?
See what I mean. I know we've been asking just one question but it has been quite a while. We were in Colorado for part of the holiday but we're back now and resuming our life here. My neck is doing just fine and I had stopped lifting during part of the holiday and have just started up again, so it's back to the light weights with higher reps until my confidence returns. It's funny how a slight twinge or a weird jerk will replant that seed in your mind and you take it just a little easier than you would've. O h well, maybe that's just me.
And just like our old posts this is going on too long. Much to catch up on. I'll save more for later.
Until then, Keep Smiling!

Man, I was this close ( I'm pinching my fingers really close together :D) to giving up on you! I'm glad to see your alive and well. I thought maybe you were kicked off of the boards and never to be heard from again. Then I thought, they wouldn't do that! :nono: Not with all the great advice you give and all the help you are to the other's on this board. :) Kidding!! You should know me by now! Missed you!! Ok, If you go longer then a week, without even so much as a quickie, I will have to make you pay! Are you shaking in your boots? No? I didn't think so!! Glad to have you back! Missed you!
Sounds like you had a nice Christmas. Colorado?? Christmas gift or do you have family there? Did you get to do any skiing? I bet it was beautiful there. What did you do to ring in the New Year? Partied hard?? We had the party again this year. It was a lot of fun!! I love having lots of friends and family over. My goal was to beat lasts years time of 2 in the morning and we did it went until 4!! Lots of fun!
Now to answer your questions. How am I? Over all I'm OK. I really shouldn't complain but I'm gonna anyway! :) I'm a little disappointed in how my neck seems to bother me everyday. I am still having a lot of pressure in the back of my head and in my throat. Someday's are worse then others but is just about everyday. Are you having any problems? By the sounds of the one line in your message (twinge or weird jerk) you might be experiencing some problems too? Ok, done complaining now! Sorry, one more...Yes!! The cold weather really mess with my neck. Especially when I am all sweaty from soccer! And once it starts forget it! I cant stop it. Ok, now I'm done.
Soccer is still going. We are in our second session. We took 4th in the last session. They moved us up one division so things are a little more competitive. We won the first game (Scored a goal!! :D) and lost the last two. Our games are a lot later at night now. Sometimes we don't start until 11 o'clock! By the time we play, drive home and shower, my bruised and tired body doesn't hit the pillow until about 1-2 o'clock!
My kids are all doing fine, thank you! My second oldest just started indoors. That's a lot of fun to watch. For our family vacation we will be going to Florida again. My parents live there, right on the beach. My grandfather also lives there and I want to visit him as much as I can. Its great there. It has the ocean!! What more do you need?? I'm one of those do nothing but play at the beach vacationers! No schedule, no agendas, just do what ever comes to mind!! My selfish vacation?? No clue yet!
My turn...My turn! So, how have you been? Hows the neck? Are you having any problems like I am having? How are your boys doing? Are they involved in any sports right now? Have you looked into playing on an indoor soccer team yet?? If no, why the heck not??? How often are you working out? How is work? We know how Duh...Bears are!! YIKES! :D Are you still a fan? Yes?? Really??!! OK, that's enough for now.
Well, I am so glad your back! Cant wait to hear from you again. Until then........Have a GOOD one!! ~~ KIM
