I just was reading in our local paper yesterday that There actually is a club for women that is just designed for women to have fun. If you are over 50 you wear purple clothes and red hats. If you are under 50 you wear lavender attire and pink hats. You are not allowed to wear the purple and red until you turn 50. Once a month these women meet and go out to different events and just have fun. There are about 30 members in the chapter that just started here a few months ago and there are about 8,000 chapters world wide.
It sounds like fun and I think I might just join them.

I know this is way off topic, but my cycling club just started a chapter of the Red Hat Society. It isn't chartered yet, but sounds like fun. I plan to join after I turn 50 (this August) and deal with the next stage in my spinal odyssey.

OOPS! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/redface.gif I am sorry. I should have put NSR in the title. It all came to mind after reading the poem.

NSR? Bruce? Hey, I can just see you as a member, but you'd have to wear the lavender and pink for quite a while yet, as you are a real baby!
Yeah, that society! My massage therapist said her mother belonged and they both went on a cruise this past fall. I checked into local groups and found FIVE in my small town! One of them is run by a woman I know; and now I know why she wears purple a lot. The name of her group is terrific, but I hesitate to post it here.
Maybe after my saga for general good health this year and last, that would be a good group to join. I need some "fluff" in my life. :bouncing:
