I hope you are are OK. I am doing Good for Post Op Day three I guess. I am having a hard time burping, I have reflux. My chest is sore, I am sure it is reflux, gas, or some soreness from surgery. My doc says just still swollen from Friday. Food is hard going down, sort of freaks me out.(been using food chopper)I have lost my voice. How long does this last BWL? I think NS got more muscle than he thought in my neck I'm on alot of Muscle relaxers. Stopped taking the hydrocodone except as needed, that stuff scares me. Pain is manageble for now. Thank God for this soft collar, because of hardware I guess. Hope your doing good Fox.

BDW, So glad to see you back... Look up a post from Tropical Fox, she posted earlier today. Not doing as well as she would like I'm sure.
You voice may take time, everyone was different. Mine was funny for a day, some took longer.
It has to be tuff to have reflex, I lived in fear of a cough or a sneeze...
Hang in there, each day brings improvement... but the key is to take it really slow and carefully.
Good luck and keep us posted... I'm sure Bruce will be around soon.

BDW,
My voice was in and out for a few weeks and only my closest friends and family could notice a slight chnage after that. A of last week that change is gone too. It's different for everyone, but it will get better.
I kind of liked not being able to speak easily, I would simply smile and nod and have fun in my own little world. Try it, you'll like it.

hey sweeties
didn't even see this thread until now
my vision impaired state due to the percocet has me pretty woozy most of the time
sorry i didn't see it sooner
i am not taking muscle relaxers but might start with 1/2 of a flexeril soon if the neck/shoulder muscles spasm a bit more...
hugs

Sandra,
Come on it's Friday! Isn't that a good enough reason for a little flexeril? Live a little. :)
