Well Day 8 and still hoarse. Trying not to talk at all as it seems to make it worse. Talked to the Doc today, said he is not worried 8 days out, but I sure the heck am. He says he'll be worried if its still like this 6 weeks out. Don't seem to get worse but stays the same. I did start some prednisone to try and see if it gets better. I just hope nothing major is going on, can't take that right now, but guess I have no choice. I need to try to relax about it so that it doesn't effect my recovery. Everything else is going pretty good neck, back, arm, except for a few muscle spasm. Pray for that ole voice please, thanks.

bdw,
I imagine it would be diffult to not be overly concerned about your voice. I agree with your doc that it is a little soon, but if you're still having trouble next week i would tell him/her that you need a better answer.
I personaly think it sounds really sexy.
Feel well,

After 3 weeks you need additional investigation. Trust me on this one... I am 5 months out with problems, and that was the "rule of thumb" according to my speech pathologist.
DON'T WAIT......

sweetie... prednisone will probably help, it did for me, took my last one today.
are you going through mood swings? i am... and it's hard to cry when your throat is sore.
i get mushy or start worrying about my son overseas, and then my throat tightens trying to cry but since i can't breathe if i get this way i have to stop immediately...
hon, you'll be fine...
we'll be fine...
it just takes time and lots of patience, especially with ourselves.
hugs

Sandra,
I was just thinking about your son. I'll keep him in my thoughts and hope that he will soon be home. Thank him for me and the silent majority here in NYC. :)
