Has anyone ever heard of snorting Ritalin? Is it extremely addictive and dangerous. My boyfriend and his brother are starting to do it at night while studying and I have noticed a lot of changes in him in the past few weeks. Any input is great. Thanks.

Once. It was a boredom/recreation thing.

I have never felt so bad in my life.

I wish I had more to add, but if anything it was an experience I never repeated.

Thanks for the response! Did it make you sick- like vomiting sick? Or hungover? I really appreciate your input!

Effects are somewhat like ecstacy, yet much less instense. The high isn't as crazy, and when you come down from it, it's a lot easier to deal with. Has a euphoria type feeling to it, just like ecstacy where more brain seratonin is used than usual.

It made me very 'speedy,' in a very unpleasent way.

Then I vomited. Alot, unexpectedly, and all over the place.

It was possibly the grossest drug ever.

Why did you choose to snort it, instead of just swalloing it? Different high?

I have NO personal experience with this, but I have heard that crushing and snorting it gives a high similar to cocaine. And with tens of thousands of children taking it right now, it is a widely available substance.

Perhaps you should re-evaluate your relationship with someone who would engage in this kind of behavior.

Greenberry:
Thank you. You are right. He and I split about two weeks ago. I just don't enjoy the party scene - or that type of party. He was paranoid and jumpy all the time and was always hot or sweaty.

I thought that if it was something DRs. would give to children, then it would help him to focus on studying, but he couldn't complete simple tasks when he was wired. How strange that is. I've learn much more now about it. Thank you so much for your response.
