I recently went through a series of 3 cervix epidural injections with 'some' relief. Two were done with a flouroscopic and one in the doc's office. All were done to the back of the neck.
My pain has gotten worse and a NEW pain management doc has said he can do a TRANSFORAMINAL injection which is done on the side of the neck (in my case at least)and more directly gets to the source of my inflamation.
I can find much info on this procedure and how it's different from all the rest of the injection procedures. Is this really something new? The doc says that I can get additional shots because he'll be putting the steroid in a DIFFERENT LOCATION.
Appreciate anyone's knowledge on these matters. Thanks.

Alan,
Welcome to the board. I'll be watching for answers to you question, since I've had the epidurals as well with no significant relief. I plan to ask my pain doc about the other injections which may help, such as facet joints, or those you mentioned. Something's got to help!!
