Hi , I thought i should start a new thread as the other one is getting quite full.
I see you are both off for the weekend, i hope you have a wonderful time, and that your weekend is as pain free as possible. It would be so nice if you could meet up, I know how nice it was for Joanne and I , wouldn't it be great if we could all get together in a big spiney reunion!
Have a great weekend and enjoy yourselves!

Hello Mel,
So good to hear from you. I hope that Teri and I will have a chance to get together before her surgery. I really wish you lived close. That would solve alot of problems woudn't it.
I hope you have a decent week while I'm gone. We're leaving Sun morning. I'll check in with you when I get back. I thought I would get to ride some on our vacation but the flare up i'm having won't give me a break. My chiropractor was wondering if I might have fibromyalgia. He told me to check out the trigger points on the internet. Guess what, I think they give you a diagnosis of fibromyalgia if you have 11 of 18 positive trigger points while most people have less than that. I have 18 positive trigger points. Isn't that just wonderful. There is no cure. Mainly managing symptoms which is what I'm doing anyway. It states that an accident could trigger a major flare up. It also says that most people are able to work at least part time. I can work some jobs on my good days but I never know when those days are going to arrive or how long they will stay. Maybe that explains why I have all this pain with my right neck/shoulder/arm. Since this started in Sept. I've only had a few days that I had a few hours of pain relief. I have never had a pain free day. So is it my spine or is it the fibromyalgia, or is it both? Should I tell my doc or just play stupid? Isn't that what they want anyway? Why does my body have to be so complicated? I need your expertise please. Once again I've taken a pain meds so this might not make any sense.
love charlotte

Mel~

How are you doing? Any new news concerning your case? How about your new lawyer? Have they ever called you back?

We returned Sunday from camping, and I must've done something to piss my cord off again, although, for the life of me, I can't imagine what I did. But it caused me to miss my uncle's funeral today. I started getting ready, but the pain and fatigue were terrible, I took my pain meds, and then wasn't in any shape to drive. I slept today from 1 to 8pm, which is very unusual for me. I must've needed it, and I do feel somewhat better.

I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day. In spite of my pain, I had a great one. Take Care and I hope to hear from you soon.

Love, Teri

HI Charlotte and Teri,

Charlotte, many cases of fibro have post accident onset. There is some really interesting work being done in the states on the relationship of fibro and check it out! cervical spine narrowing and damage. Do the online fibro search, it is a very amazing link between the two. Sort of which came first, but many of the severe fibro cases when researched show , spinal canal narrowing and neuro deficits.Interesting stuff. I hope you have a wonderful vacation, and that your symptoms behave themselves. Love Mel

Teri,
I am glad you enjoyed Mothers Day. I also had a good one, out of flare-up for the weekend. First time in 8-9 days. I like you , flare-up and have no idea why. Every once in a while, I think I've figured out all of my triggers. ANd them BAAAM, i flare again. I think it is the nature of the disease. I know i could prevent almost all flareups, as long as i do absolutely nothing but lay around. But that is not an option.
Your date grows nearer, are you getting prepared, without overdoing it. And have you taught your DH to post for you? Because i will go nuts, if i dont hear anything. ANd you know how hard it is for me to travel, so dont make me come to the hospital.Although I would so love to see you. Be your private nurse. I hear I am a pretty good one.
As for me no news. Lawyer has asked the doc to edit chart notes, and says when they get here they are going after the other guys ins. for payment. We'll see. I do not have any faith left in my lawyer at present, or much in our no fault auto ins.
Take care, look forward to hearing from you as always. Give Noah a big hug for me.
Love and greetings , Mel

Mel~

Oh, how I would love for you to be my nurse! The really good ones aren't rare, but aren't all that common either. I've always had the highest esteem for nurses. On top of all their medical expertise, there's a lot to be said for knowing how to place pillows exactly right. Believe me, not all of them have that patience and talent. They are priceless! They are the ones who make the difference between a positive hospital experience and a negative one.

My sister will post for me after my surgery. She'll probably use her own user name, but will put mine in the topic starter. There are computers all over the hospital there, but I'm not sure if it's a closed system or if she can get online and post for me while she's there. We'll see.

So glad to hear that your symptoms have given you a break. So, if I understand this right, your attorney is going to try and get your original report modified? From what I've learned from you, that should make all the difference, shouldn't it? I mean, hasn't that been their sticky point fromt the start? I just hope beyond hope that this will happen and things will finally start to unravel.....before you do!

This has all been such a nightmare for you and you certainly deserve to have things go your way now. You've more than paid your dues. Please keep us apprised of any new developments. Thinking of you....

Love,

Teri
