Wow, back before my surgery, there were ,mostly positive posts about post-op, now it seems like all negative? I'm basically doing fine, ( acdf own bone t-plate dec 13) Yesterday I got "volenteered" at work to move 200 65 lbs. boxes over 2 days! I did it, and only had slight shoulder pain, but never reached for a pill. It was in fact this board that convinced me to go for surgery, so I hate to see so many that didn't work out. I pretty much felt good the day after mine, and was frustrated I couldn't go back to work right away. One thing I think really helps mine out though is a mild stretching routine I do (EVERY) morning. best wishes to all, and to those with up coming surgery... You'll be fine!

Hey Mothmin,
long time no hear from. Now i know that is because you are doing so well. That is great. I am still here and still waiting for my surgery, so good stories always appreciated.
Wow it's hard to believe it has been seven months already, now I know I 've definately been waiting too long.
Keep in touch, let us hear how well you are doing now and then, Mel

Hey Mothmin! How the heck are you?? Remember me?? I am 9 months post Op and yeah its bad news for me, again maybe. I was doing terrific for about 4 months, back to work, back at the gym living my life in my usual crazee way and now the past 3 weeks, terrible pain again, just like before surgery. Xray shows surgery is still in place and fused nicely, but Dts THINKS I might have blown another disc, MRI is tommorow. If I have to do that surgery again I will be sucidal!! You remember how I was during recovery in the blasted neck brace, you were one of the people who told me to sit still for a minute!! I am glad your doing well. BE CAREFUL with those boxes!!! We are not indestructable like I thought we were!! Lori

Yep! I'm so sorry to hear it's going bad, I remember you wanting to go work out, and giving you a good freindly yelling at! PLEASE, if it does come down to surgery again, just lay around, time really flies, and it's not worth jumpmg the gun. I chomped at the biut every day wanting to go back to work, and exercise, but I just waited, and now it's been 7 months! I'm thinking good thoughts for you. stay in touch!

Yep, back in our day we did have some easy post-op success'. But we had a very uncomplicated surgery and I'll bet we behaved in recovery. Many here too Mothmin have had an easy time of it... they just usually go away when they are better. Others... are still hanging on to be a support. I will never forget how scared I was (out of my mind scared) until I found this board. DavyD and Belle really brought me on board, including many others... so, here we still are.

Hey Mothmin and Debbie, yeah Davie D and Belle thats like a blast from the past, and wernt we ALL so scared. Of course once your better you only browse at the board occasionally, You really dont get to involved, hey its human nature, but once your in trouble again this is where you come home to. Who else can understand then people who have been there or are going through it???? MRI as today I knowmy fat in 3 days, I am still thinking on the NEG side, this way I am not surprised. LoriXXXXXXXX
