Hi everyone, I made it thru and I did alot of worrying for nothing. I think because of all the prayer power that things went well.
Im still sore, but I ate some pancakes in the hospital before I checked out! And best of all NO CATHETER!!!
Im gonna cut this short now to go kick back and I'll give you fellow newbies a full report to put some of your worries aside! See you then!

Good for you! Yep, prayer is a powerful and wonderful thing. Glad the worst is behind you. I, too, was amazed at how easy the actual surgery was and so was my family.
When I worked orthopedics in 1984, we kept spinal fusion pts for 2 weeks. You spent the night in the hospital if you had a myelogram ,and you would often spend a few days inpatient if you needed some traction.
My how health care has changed!
Get some rest.Bet you are glad to be home.

I just can't begin to tell you how happy I am to hear your news! :D Yes, those prayers go a long way. All you need to do now is let the healing process do its thing. Take it very easy and keep us posted when you can. We're still praying for you. :angel:

Great to hear that you're doing well enough to take the time to post! Now, sigh that BIG sigh of relief that it's all behind you now. Rest a'plenty. And like I've said here before, rent lots of movies and sleep through each and every one of them! That's what I always do.

RBF I'm new here and am glad to hear everything went OK. Just take it easy for a while. In my case the first week was the worst but after that it has been going pretty well albeit kinda slow. Wayne

C4-5 large disc protrusion with bone spurs compressing the cord, severe canal stenosis
C5-6 disc protrusion with bone spurs compressing the left cord, severe stenosis
C6-7 disc protrusion with bone spurs but does not compress the cord, neural foraminal stenosis.
C7-T1 is normal
T2-3 disc protrusion which contacts but does not compress
Conclusion:
Severe canal stenosis secondary to disc protrusion at C4-5 and C5-6 with mild cord volume loss at these levels.
-Surgery-unknown yet, probably - 18 Sep 03
