Howdy to all,
Just wondering if any of you have experienced hip pain several months after surgery? I had my surgery in October 2002 and some days I can not even walk up the stairs without pain. I did go to an orthpedic Dr. 3 months after surgery and he said it takes time. My question is, How much time??????

pain free days are coming.............

Lori -

I can't believe I'm saying this. I'm so glad that my doctor said that since I'm diabetic, he didn't want 2 incision sites on me, so he went with donor bone.

Lori, I haven't seen you around lately and hope you are coping OK. Stop around in the back room for a tour sometime.

I still occasionally have pain in the hip area - especially if I do alot of stair climbing. It has been 1 1/2 years. My surgeon told me it would take a good year to fully heal the hip and then some.

Just take it easy and respond to he first signs of the pain. Meaning once you feel it step back and think about what you are doing - and if possible let up.

Things will improve.
