Final N/S appt! Not fused but on the way! 4 months. C5-6 is alittle fused but the 6-7 is not. N/s sd it could take a year or more. But hardware looks good and did the flex x-rays ok he would have like atlittle more bend. Now just try to keep active and prevent the bulging L3-5 from needing surgery. L5/s1 is collapsed, arthritis and degen so just gotta be very careful. It is nice to know I'm done with office visits! :) I wish you all good news with your follow ups! :bouncing:

Hey cardinal,

That's good news. I know your happy, I'm happy for ya! I need a favor, you know since you are throught with doctor appointments and all, I was wondering if you'd take a few of mine for me. You already know the ropes! Come on cardinal, I'd do it for you( if you'd ask first!) :)...

Just because your through with doctors doesn't mean you can forget us!!

Take care,
Harvey

Ok are you totally through? My orthopedic doctor saw me at the one year or 14 month period and said he needed to see me again in one year. Is he being over concerned or what? I did have pain bu he referred me to PT which helped some but not all. He did tell me I was not through with surgeries that he would see me on the table again in what could be one year, two years or ten years, depended on how the other discs progressed. So I figure that is why he said he wanted to see me in one year.

Thanks all of you!! As far as the cervical I think I'm done? I do have to follow up with the lumbar  due to the collapse and 3-5 bulging...and the degenerative discs and arthritis, well going to always have that :( but as long as I stay away from the stress and sedantary job I had I should not get any worse for now! I am going to take the suggestion of msm and also keep walking, swimming etc. I love this forum and will keep cking in,the pain will always be there and you all make me feel so welcome to vent! My n/s still thinks I will need fusion on lumbar...but for now I plan on doing as much as possible to avoid it! :bouncing:
